92 bravada gauge cluster swap?

Anyone know if I can swap the gauge cluster from a 92 bravada into the syclone? I picked up a bravada for parts and I like the bravada gauge cluster. Its all digital/ no needles so I am not sure if it will just swap over or not. And I don't need the factory boost gauge since i have a aftermarket one.

I know Dave P. has done it, so it is possible. I think he said it was a bit of a pain to figure out the wiring, but it looks really cool!

Search for "digital dash". I know that I've posted a link to the how-to several times..

I just searched, and yep, matt is the master on this topic. Use his stuff for the basics. Here's some clarification on a couple of details:

I've done two swaps from regular (non SyTy) analog to digital dash. The only way is to remove the IP, and splice the digi-dash harness into the IP harness. It is not PNP, and it can not be done without removing the IP. The wires aren't long enough to work with from the front of the IP.

A SyTy has the pig-tail adapter from the IP harness to the cluster. This can be removed, and spliced to the digi-dash adapter. Then stuff the whole thing back into the dash. There will be 2 'extra' wires that have to be run to either the fuse box taps, or can be picked up at the radio connection.

Project for the next 'Wrenchfest'?...Jim

I hadn't really given any thought as to when we will have another Wrenchfest but if you want to wait till then I can certainly help out. You will just need that pigtail for the digi cluster, possibly some wire, and a lot of heatshrink and patience... I've got the solder and an iron..

Matt, What did you do, if anything, to disguise the gear indicator on the didital dash? Thanks...Jim

I didn't do anything.. I've got a column shifter in the clone so I hooked it up..
