Ball bearing PTE52 vs non ball bearing 44...

Does anyone have direct experience with the lag differences between those two turbos? I'm mainly talking about boost onset point, not transient lag. I.e. can you run the same convertor with the ball bearing 52 and a non ball bearing 44 and have them spool at the same point, or will it still take a bit more stall to run the 52 well.

I don't think PTE is offering a ball bearing 52 yet.

As far as lag goes - the ball bearing units DO spool faster.

Specific differences regarding stall and whatnot I can't comment on.
