Pioneer DEH-P47DH battery draw?

I've been dealing with an intermintant battery draw now for the last 4 months or so. It would happen so randomly. But everytime I check the amperage draw with my meter, it's at 25 miliamps. I thought it was my ABS unit for a while. I had it disconnected and didn't have a problem for close to a month, but then the other day, it died, and it's dying a couple times a week now. I did a several battery tests with a Midtronics tester. Every time it says my battery is good. The aftermarket alarm is disconnected. I've checked my hood light, and unplugged it. That's not the problem. Glove box light is works right. That's not the problem. The door switches are ok. The interior lights don't stay on. That's not the problem. Only thing I can really think of is maybe my Pioneer stereo. I know alot of you have the Din and a half Pioneer. Anyone run into a battery draw problem with it? It's about exactly one year since I bought it, and it comes with a one year warranty, so I'm thinking of just claiming that it's the problem, and try to get it replaced.

I am pretty sure the ECM draws some power. Try taking the ECM-A and ECM-B fuses out and see if your amps drop.

Yup, pulling fuses one at a time is the best way to find the prob... although 25 mills isn't real high. Do you have an iPOD adaptor hooked up to the Pioneer? Some of those accessories cause the radio to halfway stay awake, and increase their current draw....

That's the thing. 25 miliamps is perfect. So I have no way of pinpointing it by pulling teeth (fuses). It's an intermintant problem, so whenever I go to try to chase it, it isn't actually drawing. I'm kinda wondering if I might have some internal short in the battery too. I don't have an iPOD hooked up. Nor a CD changer. BTW, it also doesn't matter if the radio face is installed or not.

FWIW I had a current draw and I unplugged my clarion cd player and it went away. It wasn't intermitent though. I was drawing way more than 25mA. So maybe your cd player is on the way out? I couldn't understand why my battery kept dying. Ended up replacing my battery and it still happend so then I had to troubleshoot down to the cd player. Unplugged it and the draw went away.

Try a known good battery, then condemn the electronics.

You can make a cheap circuit tester by using a blown fues, and soldering 2 wires to the test points on the fuse. Then, one by one, your can check all the circuits and see what its drawing with everything off. I chase this shit all the time for customers who are "sure" its our aftermarket stuff causing the draw. The last time I had it, the customer had even taken the car to the dealership. The dealship charged him 90$ plus to t/s it, just to point the finger at us. After about 10 min of work, I found his glovebox light staying on.
