HID's

Re: HID's

Will these work?

EDIT: I just found some pics, looks like the light needs to be directed a bit better. This is their reflective headlight, not their projector headlight. I wonder if the projector would be better?

Yeah Im thinking the projecter will be better. I already had my headlights converted so I used what I had. But Im going to get some projecter housings when I switch it over to my ty.

I just saw side view pics of the projecter lens and it is very curved. Looks like there are 2 snow globes attached to the front headlights.

Re: HID's

I have a friend who got ahold of me last night. said he can get HID kits for $100 plus shipping, and is a complete plug and play.

he has a set on his s10 right now.

now i have not been over to his place yet to inspect the quality myself, however he said they are nice, good quality, have a 1yr warranty, and he was also able to find h4 conversion headlight housings with the built in reflector deal to keep them out of oncoming drivers faces.

now it won't be a projector housing but, nothings ever perfect and it should still do the trick and be courteous to other drivers.

i should have some time this weekend to make it over and look at them this weekend.

Re: HID's

I would love to find a way to do an actual good quality HID retrofit... Whats this TSX swap im hearing about? I'm guessing it uses the TSX projector lens or something? The kit I have now doesnt necessarily blind people, but I still do get some scattered light... Its a diamond reflector H4 conversion with the entire bottom half of the bulb blocked off so only the top half of the lens lights up...thus aiming the light at the ground and not in everyones face... Also, pair that with the non-annoying 6000k color and its a great start...a hell of a lot better than 90% of ghetto rigs that i've seen....but I want perfect.....

The kit I purchased was about $80-$100 shipped...also...For the h3 foglights...HID bulbs require cutting because theyre too long.. Ive seen h3c sized HID bulbs which resemble the stock h3 halogen bulbs... however I cant seem to find a place to buy them..

Re: HID's

You know all these hid threads are a waste of time.. I brought a kit to this forum that didn't scatter light like the cheap ebay projector lenses or crystal ones do but everyone made a shit show even after i posted how decent the cut off was with my truck.. and what cracks me up most is that there are still people trying to use shit lenses hoping they won't get a shitty result. You would think that after my pictures and me posting detailed pictures of what im using and what brand there would be no more of these threads with using crap and getting crappy results.

Also I was able to find my h3c matching 6000k bulbs for the fogs online a few months back so there out tehre but there not really that cheap though.

Re: HID's

i was simply stating i found something affordable for those who don't care about scatter that much. you don't need to go raining on anyones parade. those who have nothing informative or helpful to say can keep off the thread. this is to be HELPFUL ONLY.

AND TO ANYONE ELSE WANTING TO POST ON HERE, I KNOW ABOUT HIDS HAVE THEM ON OTHER CARS AND DO NOT NEED AN EXPLANATION OF HOW THEY WORK OR WHATS GOOD OR BAD.

if you want a set get ahold of me, if not, please hit the back button.

i'm not bein a dick but i really don't care if people don't like them. i am getting them and thought i would inform others they are available, thats all.

and by the way i did read you thread about it flyin ryan, and it seemed like an alright deal however i assumed it was no longer available since it was from 07 when i was not active on here, this dealer is local to me and is the boss at a police car modification business. they outift all of the local and not so local police cars with lights sirens ETC. i doubt he would sell a crappy kit.

Re: HID's

Oh stop crying your pussy hurts man... It wasn't directed at only you or else I would have quoted you but since you brung it up.. I didn't try to rain on your parade, you pretty much did so yourself by posting that your setup is going to have scattered light. Makes me think your one of those tools sticking hid's into a shitty plastic lenses blinding family on the highway just to look cool

If you did read my thread and check out the pictures then why wouldn't you get real lenses that help direct the light appropriately the best a glass h4 lens can? I mean your talking about spending $100 or so why not spend $15 or so more and have a decent setup that isn't blinding other people and causing potential accidents?

Re: HID's

Cmy kit is a high/low setup with hella glass housings euro spec which work great. I also went with a 6000k bulb because I wasn't after the overly annoying blue color I just wanted a hint of it and the better visibility. Plus without all the redicious blue the cops don't bother me at all.

are these the housings you used? im looking for a good set to run HID's with
