Insanely Rich Please Help!!!

After doing my extreme build on my Sy it has been sitting on jack stands for 2 months now unable to stay running. With an Edelbrock 12 psi fuel pump, the truck would start and idle but was still running very rich. Now I've changed the Edelbrock to an Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump with an Aeromotive 139.. regulator. My little brother did the injector driver upgrade to run the 75 lb. injectors and I'm having serious fuel issues. When the truck does start it idles for about 5-10 seconds. The AFR is at about 12 on start up and during that 5-10 seconds, it slowly drops to around 10 and then spikes to the lean side of the gauge and gives the error message POO. I've set the fuel pressure as low as possible to 20 psi. I've changed the BPC (base pulse constant) from 158 to 110 and it is still super rich, won't idle and is blowing raw fuel out of the downpipe. I have traced every ground in the ECU pin connectors and all are grounded. I'm using code 59 with 'Mario's' Bin File being as though his truck is basically the same build as mine. I don't know if something is crossed up in the ECM and I don't know where to go from here. Please, someone help me if they have any ideas - I'm willing to pay for your time either over the phone or whatever. Thank you in advance.

The timing set at initial. Rotor at #1 plug to #1 cylinder. Unfortunately I can't set base timing due to the fact that I haven't made it to operating temp yet. No it is not 180 out because it was 180 out the first time, backfiring and I put it back to tdc and removed the dissy and turned it 180*. It fired right up but super rich.

Unplug brown wire, set to zero. No need to wait for temp, can be done in first few seconds. I just did this on a new motor within first 30 seconds of it being started.

Ok I will do that again but I don't believe that is the issue. It is almost like when the injectors open up they stay open till the truck is shut off. It is so rich that the exhaust makes my eyes water while trying to adjust fuel pressure.

And if not mistaken idle should be set at idle 800-900 rpms. I haven't gotten there yet my idle is at about 675-700.

Re: Insanely Rich Please Help!!!

Once the brown wire is unplugged, rpm won't affect timing at all.

What injectors/chip you running?

Re: Insanely Rich Please Help!!!

A tip i use : get one of those cheap hand held starter triggers and hook it up , then unhook the fuel injector pigtail so you can hand crank the motor and check timing at the same time under the hood . once its set at 0* with the tan wire unplugged your set .

Good one rob .

Also are you reading afr's off wb gauge or tunerpro ? My sy was running like crap out of no where earlier this year ,turns out the wb02 output to ecm wire came undone .

Re: Insanely Rich Please Help!!!

Do you have the correct wideband chosen in Code59? Also make sure that just one is chosen.

I don't know if I have the correct one selected, but the ALDL dash is showing rich on code59. I will double check that tonight. I need to figure out how to Data Log in tunerpro.

I will hook up the O-Scope inside the ECU see what I am getting :D Thanks.

Re: Insanely Rich Please Help!!!

I would check MAP sensor readings or try with another one MAP sensor.
