I shot a coyote this morning. my friend steve got a 3 pt. I got a 6 pointer opening day of gun and a 200 lb 8 pointer opening day of bow.

Apparently someone got themselves a fairly large deer with the front end of their car two blocks from my apartment earlier today... I saw what was left waiting for Animal Control to clean up on my way home with dinner.

have not put in for deer but always quail and dove hunt. in 2 hrs i had 8 quail, one cottontail, and one jackrabbit. my buddies only shot a couple quail and couple dove. now i have a .300 win mag, i will go smoke a deer next year. hopefully. i may just put in for a different state, like the mid-west. not too many deer here. well there are but they the good places are hard to get drawn for, Elk on the other hand breed like rabbits around here.

Haven't got anything this year cept a crap load of clay pigeons, oh, and a duck or two. This year kinda sucked for buck and elk up here.

I have had no luck (this year) deer hunting but I got myself over 30 ruffed grouse, already this year! mmmmmmmm....taste just like chicken!!!

My dad and I went out yesterday and shot a small mule deer fork. We were jsut trying to fill our tags since it was the last day and thought it was a doe until we walked up on it. I filmed it. It's hanging in my parents back yard skinned right now, and i'll be going over to butcher it in about an hour:tup:.

:1gun: no deer today its funny i go to work at 3.00am deer everywere im swerving off the road to avoid them there everyware. then i come home get my gun go into the woods im ready to shoot and no dam deer anywere hours go by and nothing im freezin my ass off here.i think i need a new aproach mabie tomarrow i should drive my car into the woods ya think ill try that :1gun::1gun::1gun:

I saw a bunch this year when I was out in MO. Only shot at one 11 point, but he was running full speed and I couldn't get him to stop. I must've lead him a little too much and missed by about an inch in front of him. Seemed like the big deer were only moving at night during the season though.

Yeah I know what you mean. The place I hunt at we practice buck management so any buck shot has to be 8 or above. I saw a real nice 8 and 10 opening weekend, but I held out for something bigger. We do a buck pot so whoever gets the biggest that weekend wins like $100-200 and I would've won except my poor shot. lol
