Not necessarily my area..KS in general is pretty good..I used to hunt around the KC area..some big ones around there. :D

Really though, some big ones come out of all of Kansas

I usually head to smith center ks. Can't work my schedule to get there this year though.

The take from this year. Me and my buddy shot these with a timed shot. They were 10 yards from each other and dropped where they stood. The big one is a 6x6, some would consider a 6x7, and was just under 24" across.

I hate deer hunting and Venison isn't that great. My motto is if it flies it dies! Deer hunting is to much sitting around. But hey whatever turns your crank I guess!

Anyone else score this year? I ended up with a cull buck this year with bow, shot a nice tom an hour before I shot my buck. Was a good day.

Took the wife hunting for her first time ever (just going, she doesn't have a license yet) and she spotted this for me last week. Her eyes are sharper than mine. She helped me get him out of the breaks and could barely walk for three days b/c she was so sore. She is hooked though, and now has to take hunter safety this winter so she can hunt next season.

I wish this was mine.......My cousins 17 year old grandson shot this buck during bow season here in Michigan..........

Opening day of deer with shotgun today ! In NY so I went out early today and got a nice Doe in my sight,s and pulled the trigger and (click) a missfire! By the time I get the dam gun unjammed the deer is long gone ! Guess I'll have to try again tomorrow :rant:

Was in a small traffic back up in Newtown (Bucks Co) last night and eventually the cars moved around a 4 point buck that obviously had just been hit. After I drove past, it got up on it's broken legs and tried to run. Despite its best efforts, it wasn't going anywhere. Not pretty.

I assume that police will "dispatch" that animal and that it's not legal for private citizens to do so? Or it is ?

Took pics of a 10 point walking down my street yesterday...
Will post pics.
Also 12 point around here to. Lots of deer near Pittsburgh
