Future Typhoon Owner...Project Car?

I'm a big Chevy man myself but deciding to trade my Toyota X-runner for a Typhoon. The question is how hard is it going to be to engine swap a blown motor. Am I going to be better off rebuilding the stock or buying a 4.3 core and building it up? Is there any major differences between the Typhoon's block and a regular Blazer? Any how is there any special shops in the Bay area working on Typhoons and Syclones? I need to get an idea if it's worth doing myself.

Why would you go through all the trouble and unjustified expense, just check the clasifieds, there are Typhoons available for less than it would cost you to try and build one.
