Those arent edelbrock sleeves, should have done Bear Trackers

actually they are very old Edelborck sleevs (8 years old) and we tried to do the bear trackers but the heim joints hit the rims. So we had to go back with the stock tie rod ends.

After assessing the damage to my rear bumper I am in need of the Left rear corner cladding. Any suggestions?

Thanks

12-14 Update - Radio & Vintage Air Controls

Good Morning All,

The dash is almost complete Dave mounted the Radio & Vintage air controls.

2006_12_14_001.jpg

Dave needed to do just a little trimming to make it work but it works.

2006_12_14_009.jpg

Dave also finished the trim piece that goes under the Billet Specialties Steering Column.

Once again want to thank Don at Village Auto for taking care of the sound system for me and the guy's at Vintage Air.

12-16 Update - Inner Fenders Design

Okay I've been battling this in my mind for weeks if not months.
I wanted something different yet functional and I think we've got it.

This is the basic shape of the inner fender.
We should have plenty of clearance turning the wheel.

2006_12_16_004.jpg

Here is the Ariel View.
Don't forget there is a 3" Elbow that leads down to the turbo.

2006_12_16_011.jpg

The look from the core support.
We may need to scallop the inner fender just a little for the turbo.
It's hard to tell in the picture but the Turbo is 1.5" from the inner fender.

2006_12_16_013.jpg

View from the Drivers Side
The transition will be a little softer, it's really hard to make chipboard bend.

Okay last view.

More to come later in the week.

Re: Sonoma GT 0334 - Build Pics

Merry Christmas to all,

It's been a long time coming and they are finally complete.

It's hard to believe that after making at least 15 different chipboard versions
we finally have Inner Fenders.

This gives you an idea how much of the Fenders structure needed to be removed to make room
for the tire when the truck is lowered.

2006_12_21_001.jpg

You can see how the inner fender is mounted to the firewall.
Mounting from the underside hides all the hardware in the engine bay.

2006_12_23_009.jpg

Dave beed rolled the Inner Fender to add strength.

2006_12_23_019.jpg

Close up view of the front of the inner fender.
We still have to drill 2 access holes in the front of the fender to remove the air boxes.

Quick Picture with the Turbo and Downpipe installed.

2006_12_23_015.jpg

The engine bay with both inner fenders. I am very happy with the Final product.
You can tell there custom but yet they look stock and maintain the original goal of the truck to make it appear as a factory prototype.

2006_12_23_004.jpg

Air Inlet from the Intercooler has plenty of clearance.

2006_12_23_023.jpg

Air box installed.

Thanks again for watching the build of my truck this last year.
It has been a blast to build and I can't wait to see it finally get painted.
This next year promises to be very exciting.

if you modified the inner fenders for better access to the plugs and the wastegate control on a stock truck, sure why not.

i am not sure if the syty guy's would be interested in the inner fenders a they are raised up almost 3" higher then stock so you can lower the truck.

I was thinking that some of syty guy's may be interested in the dash as it will allow you have to gain room under the dash to mount things like, Engine management, vintage air, msd box and anything else you may want to hide under there.
