Wife/Gf does she support the truck hobby?

How well does your Wife/Gf support your truck hobby?

For example last weekend I had a bunch of parts to build. The GF was perfectly fine taking her whole weekend with me to sit in front of the mill, while I was on the lathe keeping it running. Grabbed lunch for me Sunday, brought it back. In total in 2 days we spent almost 20 hours just in the garage working on syty stuff. (not even for my own truck).

I can't thank her enough for the help.

Now my last GF put up with the truck, but wouldn't even step foot in the garage as it was too dirty.

so how well does your wife/GF support you and your truck?

My wife would rather see me screwing around with something on the truck then screwing aournd with woman in the bar. At least she knows where I am. She helps clean it, but wishes i had something newer,she doesn't understand the old car/truck thing.

she works weekends at the moment, so it gives me time to work on the trucks.. she comes with me to most events as well.

she won't work on them, they are dirty. =P

Mine hated the Sy and didn't even want me to get the Ty. She said I spend too much money and time on them . :banghead: Oh, well.

My wife hates any type of vehicle that I am interested in

About a year ago we were talking about buying a new car for me, my wife suggested that 'I sell my Syclone and get one of those sporty Acura's or Celica's.'

I said no way and joking asking about a getting an Evo. Her response "I wouldn't be caught dead driving in that car'

It's the other way around at my house....my husband tolerates me and my Ty & GN. He only goes to shows to piss my son off(makes him ride in the back seat) After 6 years I still break out in a cold sweat if he asks to drive one of my vehicles

My wife loves it. This Ty will probably become her's when I buy another Sy (she want is now :tup: )

i voted minimal interest for my GF cause I cant say she loves the trucks (infact she HATES going fast), although she does enjoy meeting new people and making friends, but thats reguardless of the trucks anyway.

she helped me put the engine back in Erics Typhoon back in March, but unless I actually have a job for her to do while Im working on stuff, she loses interest quickly and takes off for the beach or something.

we'll see how she does on the 20 hour drive to Nats in September, although she does like driving probably as much as I do, Im not sure shes been on one quite this long before.

Wife doesn't like when I spend too much time on the truck and doesn't like when I modify it.. she feels im f'ing it up and it's fast enough haha. I wouldn't say she loves it but if I compared it against my mustangs.. i'd say she loves the syclone over the mustangs simply because the mustangs were loud and neck snapping where as the sy is not as loud and is more of a smoothe power curve

my wife likes the sy but thinks i should have got a ty. she says she is ok with me fixing it up, but then cant understand why it costs so much to do it. when i had my integra gsr everything for that thing was freaking expensive but she never really had anything to say about it. but all in all, she helped me find it, and go to get it, so i guess she likes it.

My wife hates the truck because she thinks it's "ugly" and "rides like crap" and "shifts funny." But she doesn't care if I work on it. However, it's been awhile since I've touched it. She might change her mind though once I get my garage finished and the Ty out my dads barn and start working on it again.

I voted she puts up with it, but shows no interest. When I first got it she drove me to pick it up. She though it was cool and wanted me to "pimp it out" I think now she puts up with it only because she knows how much I like it. She probably wouldn't care at all about it if I drove it more often or it was paid off.

i voted minimal interest cause she likes it cause i like it but if we have the money she'll cheerfully handle ordering the parts for me and making sure she's home when they're delivered. so i think there needs to be a minial but supportive vote option. and she sits with me while i work on it . so it's all good

My Girlfriend seams to like my truck addiction. She comes out and helps when ever I need it. She even helped me put the motor back in my R/T. On the way back from Mopar car show in Van Nuys on I5 we played around with someone and we were doing in excess of 125mph and she just loved it.

Christina loves it. She likes racing her Ty and she has a blast going to the Nats and seeing everbody. Most of you guys already knew how my wife loves her Typhoon! :tup::lol:
