yeah, im down for closing on halloween. time to get the date picked and start getting some things together. once we get a date, gonna ask for some favors and see if we can get some cool raffle items.

as long as its orlando ill be able to come hopefully, I can still drive the truck but dont want to go far in case the tranny says no more and also have to check the work schedule when a date is set.

I really hope regardless of the event being in Orlando or Valdosta, everyone who voted will make it. Be nice to see 30+ truck show up for the first event and will motivate everyone that much more to continue and make this an annual thing if it works out. Im all for moving it as well....seems like both locations are pretty even, so maybe whichever one doesnt come out on top, we determine that as the location for the 2nd event....

We'd love to see this morph into something that branches out and becomes more of an East Coast meet (with NASTE and others attending).

Ditto....I really hope everyone that's been keeping up with this thread attends. If this meet takes off, we'll move it every year until we settle on a location for good, or get a nice rotation of locations. Game on... bike came in yesterday, rode it shortly today to start breaking it in.
Need to tweak on the throttle and brakes a bit, but overall it moves pretty good.
Alright Pope/Hood.... whats some cheapo mods I can do to wake it up a bit? Sprockets are pretty cheap... am I able to bore out anything?

hell my muffler fell off and i know it got louder and also helped top end maybe a half MPH hahah.
I know the sprockets are the best for speed. Also clutches help out alot.
Hell bore kits are cheap.
I think that the exhaust has a restricion plate in it that can be bored also. IIRC when i took the exhaust off it had that plate and it can be drilled out.
I am thinking about getting a spare motor and putting some go juice on it and see if we can compete with hoods 14hp lawn mower motor.

i think i may go with a 7 tooth pinion and a 74 tooth sprocket...from reading a few sites, seems the best combo to give a bit more torque and speed from low end to top.
Also may upgrade the clutch springs. I took off the exhaust, and while i could hone it out a bit at the flange, its actually not that bad. it goes from single then splits off to 2 "mufflers".
I took off the air filter and theres this white plastic thing that sits in front of the choke lever...theres one small hole in it. Im thinking im gonna take a jigsaw and cut the entire center section out.... rode the bike around without the filter and the plastic thing there, rides just fine... i'll take a pic of it while I have it out....
I really need to adjust the brakes.... aint stopping worth a crap.

Yea it took me a while to get the brake how i have them set now.
ALso you have to use the front brakes!!!!!! Just not the rear. It is just a modulation between the 2, think motorcycle road racing not Motorcross.

People in the 'hood have been giving me funny looks. One guy in a car made the driver stop so he could rubber neck. Nice part is that my section of the 'hood is still empty since houses arent built yet and we have a good long road that I can fly on.

35 votes....good job guys. Considering there's at least 8-10 people who will attend that aren't even on the board, this meet looks promising for attendance.
I really hope all of you that voted make it out. This is going to be a meet to remember.

Okay guys, we still haven't had anyone other and Adam and myself step up to be accountable for their respective state. If you'd like to be in charge of encouraging your state's owners to attend this event, please reply here in this thread or in the date planning thread. That's the only responsibility you'll be charged with and we're trying to work out what kind of "reward" you'll be given for doing so. Something like no reg fee or something....

I think Jas mentioned a few posts up if it was in Orlando, he and Heather would fly down, which would be awesome to see them again. Need to kick Daron's ass and make him and Barb come down since they just moved somewhat closer..... he can bring the pigs too.
Id like to see Jimmy and T-Bone come down as well...
