If you're talking about the metro (downtown) areas, SF > LA.

Got a great breakfast place to recommend if you go to SF.

I'm here in the SF Bay Area. Still a couple months before I can get a beer, and I've been neglecting my truck for too long now.

If you can find the time you could come up here (50 mins north of the Golden Gate depending on trafic) and we could show you a couple of wineries. Maybe hit a couple of neat car shops. Need a date though. And if you like big trucks, LMK.

Re: LA or SF for business?

I'm 90% certain i'll be out there the week of November 12th to November 16th, personally i wouldn't mind coming out a day early or staying an extra day, but as it is I don't get to see my gf alot and there is a NJ area meet on the 11th that I'm considering going to..

I have some family in the cupertino area, so I'm going to see if I can swing by and see them one night, but i'm pretty much free the rest of the time.. I'd love to checkout a winery and meetup with some of you guys.. as the date gets closer i'll have more info

co-worker is a 260lbs 5'11" dude that likes to smoke alot of cigs and isn't into cars at all.. we'll see what happens (no gay sex thats for sure, he isn't my type) its my first business trip with this company so i might not want to get into any trouble but i'd like to see as much of the area as possible..

looks like i might be in the "antioch" area? I'll be working at a hospital =P

In general I have Wed's off if that helps. Just let me know what you'd like. I'm not a big party animal but would enjoy showing you (and who ever you can grab from the bay-area) the Sy and the local area.

sounds good to me, like I said i'm not sure how much free time i'll actually have but i'll try to figure out a way to at least meet up with a local if possible.

I'll be in the Antioch area of CA, looks like its an hour east of san fran, so i might be to far away to really bother doing much of anything but working and sleeping.. hopefully the install is easy and there is some down time..

i'll keep in touch and update everyone on the specifics.

Actually, I live in Concord , which is next to Antioch. The Antioch Speedway is always interesting, I'll have to check the schedule to see if they have any racing in that timeframe.

The rapid-transit is available to you and is relatively inexpensive, it will take you into the City and you don't have to deal with parking and alcohol-related concerns, as long as you make it back to the station, you will get home. Weather should still hold together and make for some opportunities to see the area.
Consider taking the train to Reno for gambling trip, station is in Martinez, about 10 mins. away. Just some ideas-

Antioch is 30 miles from my house, so I'll definitely come hang out. I don't know the area, but we could go grab dinner or something. Who knows maybe there's a casino or a Denny's that sells gravel milkshakes. ;)
