??? After you confirm that my geometry is kosher, I'll get that flange laser cut for ya so that you can start fabbing up your downpipe. Just let me know how thick you want it to be...

Deburred, degreased and bead blasted torque converter inspection cover.

I tell ya what, that cover had some of the WORST casting flash that I have ever seen... But you know who to blame

Well Brandon I guess you decided not to go with the a/c which is a good choice, because I threw away all my a/c stuff in process of moving into my new home

Re: Syclone #136

Your downpipe flange got laser cut today:

However, I got it so late in the day that I didn't get to deck it and drill the mounting holes :(. Should be able to knock it out tomorrow though. Right now, it's looking like I will be working on a SBC this coming weekend so no "defection" to the East. PM me your mailing addy so that I can ship this via UPS so that you can keep moving on your truck. You can pay me the next time that we get together since I know that you are good for it

Re: Syclone #136

I was beginning to think that I wasn't ever going to get this on the mill

. When the truck that delivers our material pulls up to the garage door, that means that it's towmotor time. Got a mountain of alumimum last week. Been behind the 8 ball ever since. Anywho got it decked and drilled tonight after work:

Been spending more than half my time at work these days, usually from 8 AM until 10 PM. Good thing I enjoy the work... I will ship this out tomorrow morning since I won't be defecting East this weekend either.

Re: Syclone #136

Very nice ! I trust eveything went together ok then? Don't forget that you are going to have to extend the wires on your plug slightly to reach...

Re: Syclone #136

Nice!! Can we hear the specifics of the trans? What's in it? What kind of build? Cost? Rossler is top notch. What is "Ross-Lock"?

Very nice, now I know why you painted that inspection cover black !

actually, that was a complete coincidence. i wanted to test the paint on something that wouldnt be seen, before i painted the heater box. I didnt realize they painted the trans black. it looks good though.

Re: Syclone #136

got the rest of my ARP hardware in yesterday.

and just got done checking all my clearances on the heads.

Piston to valve is great. I have to relieve some material from the heads, cause the pushrods were close to scraping. After that, it'll be a longblock. And my top end is still in an assembly, so i can drop it on, and the engine will be done, mechanically.

pics to come.

Re: Syclone #136

Are you planning on using stock manifolds or headers? Reason I ask is in the pic above the plug in the side of the head wont work with a header flange from the looks.

Project looks nice though
