Im throwing this out there. Really looking for a complete car with no motor and trans. I dont mind if it needs body work but I dont want a basket case. Dont want a hacked up car either. Really looking for just a plain Camaro...no ss or rs. Just a regular Camaro. Dont need numbers matching or anything like that.Like to find something in the PA,NJ,DE,NY,MD,CT areas. If the car is right, I am willing to go farther but prefer something more local.

Really depends on the shap of the car....Id love to get one for around 5k but if its nic, Id be willing to pay more and the saem goes the other way, Id pay less for something that needs more work.

Re: WANTED: 1969 Chevy Camaro Project

Dude, Im not askin for some smart remark....yes or no is the simple answer...like i said, If the car is right, Im willing to pay more. 6cyl car is all im looking for, I dont even want an engine or trans in it. Im expecting it to be rusty, its 40 years old. Im not some shlub that was born yesterday. There are still project vehicles around. If you dont know where one is, then simply say, I dont know where one is.

Re: WANTED: 1969 Chevy Camaro Project

Wow, looks like I really got under some skin...hahahah...good to see I still got it....Looks like I piss people off I never even met just as easy as I piss people off that I actually have human contact with....while all that attitude talk is good and well on a computer screen, the bottom line is with a comment like "5k is gonna get you a title and vin plate", I guess thats a good attitude? Thats such a polite comment to say to someone when asking for help??? Hmmm??? I dont think so. Maybe Im just not in the "click". Whatever the case may be, Im looking for a project car that needs alot of work so I dont have to pay for previously done poor body work that needs to be redone anyway and tasteless mods that I dont want so yea Im expecting to have work ahead of me and I realize that the cars gonna have rust, obviuosly. As for not helping me, I guess you could feel that way...Ill tell you what though, Im not losin sleep over it. And as for the comments from the other guys, well I guess I dont have enough posts to speak my mind with out being attacked as well. I guess when you ask for help, you are expected to let people say whatever you want to you and take it because they are helpin you. As one of you said, I guess I should sit down, then shut up, then take what I get. This is what you are obligated to do when you ask for help from people. Sarcastic comments and demeaning orders? WOW!.. :rotf: .. What I said was not meant to be an attack. Im too old for message board drama...I mean this is ridiculous. It was simply put out there to say that I dont need the smart comments just like I said. I asked a simple question. I did nothing to deserve the insulting remarks. If you thought my price was too low....simply say, "I dont know if I can think of a vehicle in that price range that doesnt need more work than you are willing to do." Now thats an example of not having an attitude... ...thanks guys.....much love!

Well Warmpancakes, I for one thank you for the help that you have been to me and I know that other people feel the same way. The guy that started this post is clueless and yet you are still willing to help him. Thumbs up to you. I would have let him find his own 69 Camaro, just my :2cents: . On to the GTO can you PM me the story on it and any pictures. TIA

Not sure if your looking for a pat on the back or a kick in the butt, but as long as you think you got a deal for 5k that;s all that matters. Personally you got 4-5k in body work, you still have to put a v-8 in it( exhaust, new rad and what ever nickle dime parts you need.)It has power steering, but now get rid of the standard drum brakes and get disks.Should have just spent 10k on a nice driver and call it a day.

Dude, two words....stop hatin....hahahahah:rotf:

Makin bodywork estimates from a computer pic is very brave. I do all my own bodywork. This car is 90% rust free. I can have this car ready for paint for about $1000 and just my time. As for a v8 in there, well umm ...YEA...like I said before ...a project car. I built performance engines for 10 years. Hers some proof.....check it out... http://www.off-roadweb.com/tech/0308or_496_dyno_tuning/index.html I have quite a few engine ready to go in there already....just have to choose a combo...... I wasnt lookin for a driver for 5k, I was looking for a project car and that what I got. All original and very repairable GM sheetmetal too so once its done, the fit up will be very nice unlike the tin foil taiwan repops. This is exactly what I had in mind.

Actually, if you scroll up, somebody did but thats ok....everyone is a little braver behind a computer screen. To be honest Ken, I never meant to come off the wrong way. Ive just had a lot of bad experiences on car forums, thats all. I appreciate you replying at least with something to say. Its all good, I am just having a little fun....As for the car, like i said in the previous post, this car is 100% original with the exception of a repaint and new GM quarters hung in 1994. The floors, trunk, cowl, subrame and rear shock towers are solid. Maybe a few pinholes here and there but thats the most of it. The car is 90% rust free. I will be stripping it, making a few small repairs, realigning the panels and then Im thinkin Cortez silver with black rallys or not. Havent decided yet. I have a 6.0 LSX which is prolly gonna be the engine for it with a 4l80e that I have but I would love a T56. Just a little pricey for me right now. Pro Touring is gonna be the platform for this build. Once I get started, I will post pics of the progress. Proly wont be till next year. In the middle of my GN right now...... I love cars:tup:

DUDE ? guess I had you wrong, I thought you were chip foose. 90% rust free, now that's funny. Waite till you start pulling that thing apart. I've worked in a body shop and seen a fair share of camaro's come in. You might be able to buy the supplies for a grand, but by the time you change some of the foil thin metal ..save your bills. As for the engine link anybody can read a magazine.
