DUDE ? guess I had you wrong, I thought you were chip foose. 90% rust free, now that's funny. Waite till you start pulling that thing apart. I've worked in a body shop and seen a fair share of camaro's come in. You might be able to buy the supplies for a grand, but by the time you change some of the foil thin metal ..save your bills. As for the engine link anybody can read a magazine.

Thats me in that article, I wrote that article...I was showing my credentials....holy moly.....like I said NORM, stop hatin....this aint my first rodeo, chum.

No problem Joe, I like to rib guys. But changing a quarter panel is alot different than changing the primaries in a holley.

I was the one who said it and the reason I said it was do to your response in post # 7. While I can be brutally honest at times, I don't hide behind a computer screen. I have been known to tell it like it is to someone face too. Anyway congrats on the car. I wonder what the floor pans look like under the carpet?

Anyway depending on what engine you use you may have to change out the engine mounting bracket as there are 3 different bracket that Chevy used. If you are looking for engine set back, then the brackets that came with the 6 cyl are the best ones. But you may have to work with the firewall some for clearance. Good luck with the project and I will look forward to seeing pictures as you progress if you are willing to post them .

Its all good...I dont get mad at people...I just laugh at them....Ive already pulled the rugs back and looked under the car at the floors. This thing is beautiful underneath. Not one body panel needs to be replaced no matter what NORM says..hahaha...love you NORM....as for the rest of the mods I plan, Like I said I in previous posts, this is not my first rodeo. I was an engine machinist/ builder for 10 years. I do all types of fabrication including sheet metal work. I will end up making my own mounts becasue I want to position the engine as low to the center of gravity as possible. Again, my plans are a Pro Touring build so this low placement will aid in handling and weight transfer. I am not trying to sound egotistical, but the fact is I have a wealth of knowledge in the automotive field. I like working on them as much as I like owning them. This is all I do. Im not into much of anything else except modding and restoring cars. I mean heres a couple of pics of just some of the items in my garage.....just excuse the mess.....I been thrashing lately...
