Re: shifting issues i have the wrong hardware, a guy sent me a pic of the correct hardware. I'm currently using a generic B & M linkage hardware kit. It's not the right stuff. I'm waiting on a member who said he has one, he just needs to get to them. Once I have the correct hardware...

I have an 86 s-10 Blazer, 2WD. I put a 350 SBC and an older 700R4 tranny in it. I installed a SY/TY console in it. I hooked up the linkage with the tranny and shifter in "P". To be in "D" on the Tranny, I'm in the "1" position on my shifter. Is it due to the age difference of the 700R4 I...
