Re: F-body steering box? looks similar to me, but to be honest it's hard to get a good look at the one in the typhoon. I don't think that I want to go through the trouble of changing steering boxes if it wont work. Does anyone know for sure whether it will or won't.

I was wondering if anyone has tried using a steering box from a late 80's F-body (Iroc or Trans am). They are 2 1/4 turns lock to lock. Is this too fast a ratio? The reason I'm asking is because I have one and would rather use it (if I can), than buy another. Any input on this would be...

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Summit Racing's Quadra Duce orignally have a T56 in it. That vehical uses a Sy tranfercase. I belive they later changed to a 700r4 for driveablity

This may seem like a stupid question but while looking through syty site I've noticed that alot of 1/4mile trap speeds are up near 100mph. My ty rev limiter wont let me go over 90ish with my foot to the floor in third gear. Are these syty owner who are posting these trap speed lifting so that...

I just had my ty painted about a month ago and was able to get new factory gold decals at my local GMC dealer. It took about two weeks for them to get them in. Might be worth a try.

It seem to me that my ty's tranny is starting to slip in the 2-3 shift. I was wondering if this is a common problem and if there is any way to keep it from getting worse. I know that 700r4 suck because i when through five of them on my 88 gta. Just kind of hoping that someone might have a suggestion
