Re: Cylinder head and intake manifold options...please help
Motor number one...(good heads with factory type short block) is on the stand. i pulled the intake off and test fit the standard port intake...whew! the port location isnt too far off but the raised runner heads have a wider bolt...
Re: Cylinder head and intake manifold options...please help
Yeah.....I was already planning on building a set of headers....I bought some really cool Stainless steel parts from the guys at ARH.....The factory block engine has alot of great valvetrain parts and I was hoping on using the...
Re: Cylinder head and intake manifold options...please help
I have always thought those people at Katech were the gurus of these motors in the 1980s... :( They built this motor and chose those small heads for it....I havent taken the engine apart yet..but the build sheet suggests 280 cubic...

I have two v6 engines and wanted to take all of the best parts from both and build one to go in my truck...The question I have is regarding which heads to use. The first choice is a set of ported GM "raised runner" 23 degree heads. They are fresh, complete and ported(essentially all new good...
Re: Fuel Injection help...Please
Thanks for the feedback.
The heads are 14044883 castings. So, how many differences are there between the 2000 V6 and a 1990 one? For fuel injection swappage. The computer out of the 2000 is the same as a 1999-2002 Camaro...
Re: Leaking injector o-rings
I believe all EV1 injectors use the same o-rings. They're most likely in stock at your local auto parts store. I'd go buy a new set if it were me.
I am attempting to swap around a few projects that will enable me to install a 4.3V6 into an S-10 or Sonoma. Right now the motor is carb'd with the giant "box-ram" intake. It is a nightmare for throttle repsonse and tip-in fueling. My plan is to go EFI. The questions I have are......
1. What EFI...
Re: Leaking injector o-rings
Can you move all of the connectors side to side? If they feel tight you may be binding on one preventing the rail from sitting evenly . Sometimes it helps to slowly and methodically tighten in an "X" pattern while wiggling them.
Re: Trailblazer SS rapage
I see nothing wrong with what you said. Your truck is obviously fatser than a low 14....I would suppose the gauges up his pillar were for looks. Honestly, I have never seen a 4wd one and would assume they are much slower considering they have the same motor and much...
Re: Trailblazer SS rapage
I'm not a moderator. I cannot see edited posts to know what was so "no-so nice"....Nobody ever called anyone nieve.(I don't think...certainly not me)....Once again...
1.This isn't a lesson on how much better TBSS's are then SyTy's
2.I didn't bash anyone about their...
