Yes. There are several around here but I would like to find one that won't just slap on a bunch of bondo or mess it up even further. I may have to find a restoration shop.
This is probably a long shot... Does anyone know where I can get a good condition tailgate for a 93 White Typhoon?
My Typhoon's tailgate got damaged in an accident. I would rather just have it repaired but I don't know any techs that do that work locally.
(Seattle/Bellevue).
I need to replace the tires on my 93 Ty which has the stock 245 50 16 tires and aftermarket wheels. I noticed that most of these posts reference 17" wheels and tires. I don't think I can put 17" tires on the 16" wheels ;) - so did GMC produce 17" wheels for the SyTys? Will 17" wheels fit the 16"...
I have Wilwood recommendations for front calipers, MC, and PV - all parts are Wilwood's. The rear brakes are stock drum brakes with very little wear. The pedal goes to the floor when the engine is running. I get a firm pedal when engine is off.
This is an old post but I was curious if the proportioning valve fixed your problem? I have the same problem but I have already replaced the proportioning valve with a wilwood. I was about to start looking at the booster when I read this...
The Master cylinder is new - replacing it made no difference. MC was bench bled and the the whole system was bled afterwards (again).
The power brake is standard GMC vacuum type.
I removed the entire ABS unit and installed the ABS delete kit. Is the pressure relief valve part the ABS unit? Or is...
I know this is an older post but I wanted know you what problem you had with the proportioning valve... I have a big problem with the brakes after installing Wilwood discs on the front and ABS delete. When I bleed them (4 times now) brakes work fine until I start the car - no brakes at all...
Yeah, I thought about that but before I put the new brakes on, everything was working fine - brakes were working...
Maybe I need to bench bleed it.
thanks,
Eddy
I have been fighting this for quite a while now. After installing Wilwood calipers on the front of my 93 Ty, removed the ABS, installed the ABS delete kit, bleeding the brakes several times - I get a firm pedal while not running. As soon as I start the engine - pedal goes to the floor...
