Re: Button Ignition - Fun Question
So if that may be the problem do you think that it may be linked to why my car dies in idle after it has been warmed? ..If so, how much does a 140A alternator run and what brand type do you recommend?
Re: Button Ignition - Fun Question
Oh sorry attackdog, As far as I can remember all we did was just hook a wire to my starter relay and bring it into under my dash thru the firewall (make sure to protect that wire). Then I believe we spliced into an ignition wire that was under the dash by the...
Re: Trunk release
Hah, that doesn't sound easy. I do have a relay laying around, my battery is under the truck, I guess I could just put a new wire from my battery to the trunk. Don't even need a relay.
These past couple days I've been trying to figure out how to fix all my trucks problems. Ok so heres another... The trunk release seems to be weak, I have to press it multiple times for it to open, I think I just need to get a new release mechanism. My question is how much for the part and how...
Re: Button Ignition - Fun Question
As well, is there any other things that may cause my car not to start up right. Is there a possibility a new starter will not even fix it? Is the starter for the 454 chevy more powerful or rather will it work better then the one I have in it now?
Re: IAC - where is it??
NAPA 36$ in Chicago.
Also another question. I've posted 3 posts (this one included) and I am wondering if any of these problems may have a connection such as my boggyness of my turbo and my IAC? Who knows?
Re: Button Ignition - Fun Question
That starter looks huge, are you sure thats smaller? I left the one I took off at my dads house, he most likely junked it, so its no more.
One more problem I have with the truck. Instead of starting the truck with the key I have my truck wired so that when you press a button, while the key is turned, the car starts. For some reason a while ago I was having an issue that when I would turn the key the car wouldn't crank over it would...
Re: Turbo - Boggy when boost kicks in
If you look at the guage theres a -15 and a +15 as soon as the guage is right above the middle line going into the orange it will bog and my truck will just shake. Though if I do go above the the middle, it will drive just very rough with the shaking. I...
Re: IAC - where is it??
I think I need to take off the EGR as well, bottom bolt is a bitch to get to, there is a hose there blocking access to the EGR bolt that I went to take off but its clamped and I don't have enough light to see where I'm pulling it off at.
Re: IAC - where is it??
Ok, I'm not taking that off today. Theres just to much junk around it that I would have to remove for me to be able to access it and its way to cold. I appreciate the picture it is much help. Thanks.
