Trunk release

These past couple days I've been trying to figure out how to fix all my trucks problems. Ok so heres another... The trunk release seems to be weak, I have to press it multiple times for it to open, I think I just need to get a new release mechanism. My question is how much for the part and how difficult is the installation??

That thing is such a piece of shit I swear. I pulled the cover off and messed with it for a while but nothying I did helped out til I sprayed some white lith on the cables, pulleys and whatever else was in there.

The solution is to run a heavier gauge wire to it and install a relay.. Its just not getting enough amperage from the crappy stock switch/wiring harness..

Hah, that doesn't sound easy. I do have a relay laying around, my battery is under the truck, I guess I could just put a new wire from my battery to the trunk. Don't even need a relay.
