My Sy was running good after installing the following: plugs, wires, dist. cap and rotor, new K&N cone filter, K&N breather, oil change, aluminum turbo to IC hose, MSD coil, both PCV valves, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, new walbro 255 fuel pump, battery, 160 deg. thermostat. Truck runs...

The one in my truck looks real different than the one I just bought off another list member. Anyone have a good pic handy? Are sy and ty ecm boxes different? Were there any changes in the years? Thanks!

I agree, you're a bit low on the dollar figure my friend. An under 50K mile Sy will cost you $3-5K more. There is a guy selling a really nice looking Sy in the classifieds for $7900 although it has double the mileage you're looking for. Granted, there are good deals to be had! I bought mine...

Jim, thanks! I looked you parts number up on gmpartsdirect.com and they have it for $107.00 whereas the back ordered part (my number above) was $47.00. Are we talking about the same thing here? They also list it as a "remanufactured ECM"???? Thanks

I tried ordering via two internet GM parts dealers however both state it's on back order and cancelled my order. My local dealer tells me it could be many months to get one. HELP, I need one pretty quickly! I have part # 16164174 (Delco AYBN4175). Anyone selling a stock Sy chip?
