Re: 1984 S10, an ongoing evolution Unfortunately I'll be the third person to post over a year later. The project is pretty freaking awesome though! I'd love to see more and I'm sure others would as well.

    MTX-L Wideband installation help!

I've lost my notes I found a few weeks back noting the pin to send my simulated narrowband signal to the ecu from the wideband. Does anyone know? I also have the factory service manual but haven't tracked it down there either. (3 books and thousands of pages).

disk rear dual piston front prop valve issues

So I spent a few hours poring over what I need to get my master cylinder or most likely my proportioning valve to work properly with my brakes. I have the dual piston front brakes off of the 98+ 4x4 and the little 7 5/8 disk rear out of a similar vehicle. My parking brake is absolutely horrid...

    TX meet 2013

Re: TX meet 2013 I'm waiting on my transmission parts. 1 week from today will be tight for my first transmission rebuild. Sucks to be cutting it so close. Any of you guys have an idea of the fees? I'm trying to put a budget together.

    TX meet 2013

Re: TX meet 2013 We use a guy in Porter or New Caney very inexpensive. He is a 1.5 man shop though I'm not sure he could handle much outside of stock. I get a lot of grief trying to find engine rebuilders when I deviate from the OE spec. We recently did a build in my buddies 94 4x4 s15 with...

    TX meet 2013

Re: TX meet 2013 I have a wynjammer supercharger. I'm knee deep in a major overhaul. First time the engine has ever been out, shes at 253k on the clock. Main bearings looked a little sad so she is getting a crank kit. Wife just walked in from Oreilly on 75 supposed to do a timing set exchange...

    TX meet 2013

Re: TX meet 2013 My engine is on the stand awaiting a bigger impact to remove the flywheel bolts. The trans is in my shop on my bench in a million pieces awaiting my rebuild kit. Speaking of my shop is in a 14 foot cargo trailer. Would it benefit any of you to bring it along with me? If so...

    TX meet 2013

Re: TX meet 2013 I'm working my ass off on my Jimmy daily to get her up and running by then. Where in Conroe do you live 0966Sy? I'm in Willis right at 1097. Are there any good pull your part type junkyards in this area? I just moved here a few months ago.

    4.3L LV3 (Ecotec 3 V6)

Re: 4.3L LV3 (Ecotec 3 V6) Not a bad run for the 4.3 engine. Glad to see it go. The go-to v6 comparison when someone is giving sass towards GM. I often remind them half their ponies got lost in the glovebox.

    TX meet 2013

Re: TX meet 2013 My best friend lives in Rodgers about 8 miles from the meet, I may invite myself over to his house over the weekend. This will make for a motivational date to get my Jimmy up and running.

    MTX-L installation questions

I reading that the MTX-L wideband will literally replace my existing (I believe 1 wire) narrowband o2 with a heated wideband. The gauge will then send narrowband signals to the ecu. I have a few pieces of the puzzle to put together: 1: Does the OE o2 bung match the threads to the wideband? 2...

New member from north Houston (Willis)

Re: New member from north Houston (Willis) I take very good care of her but she is expected to perform 100%. This is the cpi bastard intake style 92-95 I was consistently getting 19-20 through the mountains, I attribute it to driving easy and actual 100% gasoline instead of this bullshit...

New member from north Houston (Willis)

Re: New member from north Houston (Willis) Just a very abused 4.3 cpi. I purchased and built this truck for trailriding and roadtrips. We recline the seats to sleep (wife and I) our dog Dude has been cross country with us a few times in it. He sleeps on the vinyl cargo shade (reinforced) and we...
