04 Viper

I raced a 04 Viper from a 20 mph roll a few times and from a stop twice. From a 20-30 mph roll up until about 90-100 I kept up with him pretty much head to head. From a stop, we both lined up and I started to beep, at the third beep I went, he looked like he went right after then started to go then let off right away, he says that he couldnt hear me beeping. Second run I let him beep and he left a little early, he said he left early before I did, and he got me by about two car lengths in a 1/4 mile stretch. It was a lot of run to see the two vehicles go and to see what happened. He was suprised how fast my truck was and I was supprised that he could actually drive. All in all it was a good night, nothing broke, no one got in trouble, I'm also very happy with my Typhoon running head to head with a Viper. I think once it gets retuned and I put the drag radials back on it I should be able to beat the Viper from a roll or from a stop.

92 Ty, full interior, no A/C, ABS or Cruise control.

Edelbrock 4.3 carburated lower intake converted to EFI, custom made fuel rails
83# injector, FAST, ATR 3" exhaust, T-63 with .83 housing running 19-19.5# of booste
DeQuick dual core I/C with piping coming in on the drivers side, 85-90mm throttle body
Mustang style upper intake/ plenum, four MT drag radials mounted on stock rims.

Truck made 455 hp and 660 lb/ft at 19# the way it sits, that was with the TC locked.
It's still running rich and timing is still rather low like 18-20 deg.

Yes I was very happy, I'll go back and race him again, we will see what happens with some good tires and a better tune.

3888 lb with me in it, I'm roughly 200 lb. It lost 150 lb from its last visit to the track roughly 2-3 years ago,
