You can see I was searching this by digging up a two month old post. I'm going to do the same thing this weekend, do I need to worry about the angle?

Nope, I dont think you need it with stock springs and only 1" drop.

I am running the Bell Tech lowering leafs with a 1" 2* angled block and the angle fo the dangle is just right. ;)

Thanks.

I'm sure I'll wish I went two inches once I'm done!

About 3 years ago I took out the 3" lowering block & put in a 1" block. I would keep the factory 2* wedge on top of the lowering block.

Speaking of that factory wedge. I was noticing it when I was under the truck the other day, I thought it was wierd that the wedge was pointing towards the front of the vehicle, causing the rear diff. to be pointing at a slight downward angle toward the front. I always thought the wedges were to get the rear diff. inline with the drive shaft. Or is this how they come from the factory? Anyone happen to have a pic of a stock rear setup? Thanks.

OK, I think I've answered my own question thanks to a link I found in another post. (Yes I do use search, :) ) Anyway it would appear that this is normal while the truck is stopped. It seems (and please correct me if I'm wrong, anyone) that the pinion angle is set like that so when the vehicle is driven/launched the axle will rotate back and 'correct' itself/the angle. Makes sense I guess.
