Hi all,
I am looking to sell my 1991 Syclone. I have owned this Syclone since 2012. It was formerly part of the Lingenfelter collection. Vehicle has 57k miles on it. Not sure if there is any chip or ECU mods.
Here are the recent services I have performed:
2016:
1. Turbo overhaul service and porting form sportmachines, Inc. Replaced retaining nuts and washers with new factory correct parts.
2. While the turbo was out I Cleaned and repainted inner right fender and cleaned and repainted battery tray. All rusted speed nuts and bolts were replaced with factory correct parts.
3. Complete Tune up: To address the random stalling issue I did the following:
Replaced spark plugs.
Replaced spark plug wires. (old plugs looked great.)
Replaced distributor cap and rotor.
Replaced all dry rotted vacuum lines.
Replaced PCV valve.
Replaced fuel filter.
Replaced oxygen sensor.
4. New cold air intake and filter. Factory intake was brittle and cracking. A small plastic piece was ingested into turbo necessitating the turbo rebuild.
5. Replaced passenger power right side window motor. Used correct rivets for fastening and retaining fastening hardware.
6. Replaced front headlights. Left front high beam not working. Issue was tab in left headlight connector. Fixed tab while headlight was out.
2017 service:
1. Replaced ICM and Ignition coil to address random stalling when hot.
2. Removed and cleaned grounding surfaces for wiper motor. (Wipers were randomly stopping. Resolved)
3. Replaced wiper blades.
4. Replaced VSS. Speedometer was bouncing randomly. (Resolved)
5. Replaced front ABS sensors. (right front failed) Reset ABS codes. Fault cleared, issue resolved.
6. Replaced dashboard backlight lamps. (had dead bulb)
7. Paint correction. Paint was slightly oxidized.
8. Interior detailing. Routine maintenance.
Annoyances:
Random stalling when driven for around 45 minutes. I believe this is a sensor related issue. I have checked for vacuum leaks and could not find any. Otherwise engine performs and accelerates smoothly.
Speedometer: Turbo gage bounces when using signal indicators. I think the printed circuit is delaminating in certain areas.
Air conditioning: Needs R12 charge or R134a conversion. Compressor is healthy, but is short cycling.
I have spared no expense on repairs, parts, or procedures when making repairs. All bolts and nuts replaced as needed with factory correct parts and torqued to correct specification.
Hopefully, I did not forget anything. Feel free to search my ID for details of my issues and additional background of my Syclone.
I still addressing the annoyances and will edit the post as needed. I Would like to see it go to a good home. I am asking $15,000. Please PM me for pictures.
