For what I will assume is a virgin truck, that's some pretty good bumper to fender cladding alignment. I don't think I have seen one as good as this one.
I would like to know what it eventually sells for. The info will greatly benefit my database for my appraisal business. Feel free to pm me the info when it sells. The info is kept confidential.

The black trucks were standard black/gray and black/black was an option. The black was a matte black and not the same as body color. Search function will find you paint formulas to refinish the cladding. Either this cladding has a great deal of finely applied Black Chrome or it has been refinished. Don't let the low mileage fool you into thinking that there was no way that anything ever happened to a truck. I know of a truck that had every body panel repainted and not all at the same time within its first 4K miles. Must have been hard miles. Poor truck..

No.You are thinking aboot Syclones. They had natural cladding that a TSB was issued on to paint matte if complained aboot by customers.
ALL Ty's had painted cladding,regardless of color,and the Argent cladding was a $172 option,even though in most cases,a monochromatic paint scheme was not available (i.e. Forest Green/Forest Green,Aspen Blue/Aspen Blue, Teal Green/Teal Green ect.)
All of them.
FYI There were only 3 RPO paint codes that were monochromatic and avoided the extra $172 charge: Black/Black,White/White,and Red/Red.
Since I'm on this subject,I will list the 3 extra cost options that came on some Typhoons:
CD player $134
Argent Cladding $172
Roof rack: (Although not really an option,it was included in the MSRP of trucks so equipped)
FWIW EVERY Typhoon window sticker says its a black truck. :roll:

I watch the market very closely and people pm me their sale prices (under an agreement of strict confidence so I won't mention names). I know of a 92 that sold at the BJ Auction for $15,950 (including fees so actual selling price was lower). That truck had been documented with "less than 14K miles" so it must have been 13,xxx, was stock and had no loss history. I know of another 92 Ty that just sold for 13K with 22K miles blk/blk with lots of documentation (no confidentiality agreement on this one so I can let the cat out of the bag). Based on these sales and the other info I have, I would put the range between these two aforementioned prices. The market is soft is an understatement. Unfortunately, IMO, I do not see anything changing soon (for the better) and would not be surprised if it continues to fall.

thank you for your input. i screwed up when i first posted the typhoon . this 1992 typhoon has not been repainted the cladding has been rubbed out all cladding ive seen dries out my brother wanted it to be the same color but didnt want it painted to screw with the value of the truck. the stock wheels i have in excellent shape and tires they will go with the typhoon. the paint is great on this vehicle my dad and brother hand rubbed the paint to get swirl marks, black is tough. there is a pic of the engine compartment on ebay along with other pics, but i didnt get any uner carriage pics it is pretty clean underneath. on the mileage when i listed it on ebay it shows past mileage and owners im sure this is correct. i am asking 23,000.00 now with factory wheels and tires it also has the factory window sticker and paer work. thanks craig

nice truck, i am "watching" it on ebay. i have looked at values of these trucks for the past few years, and the values are alot lower than they once were even 1 year ago. i would say an honest asking price for your truck would be $18k obo just from what I have seen in comparison. if this was a 13k mile Syclone, maybe you could get $20k (more rare), but these are tough times for ALL collector cars.
honestly i would either drop the price a few thousand or keep it. i was trying to sell my 02 Camaro SS recently and I know I cant get even close to what I want for it....so I am going to enjoy it for years to come.

thanks guys for the input. this weekend i took the c6 wheels off and put the original wheels and tires back on it , i was wondering if anyone would be interested in the c6 20" wheels and tires that was on it? there brand new 1500.00. thanks craig
