Technically, all SyTy are 4-wheel ABS.
The 91 and 92 are "4- input". They have speed sensors on each wheel.
The 93 is "3-input". The 93 uses the VSS signal for the rear wheel speed signal. Two front sensors, and VSS for the rear.
All 3 systems are "3-channel" ABS. The module can control each front wheel independentaly, but both rear wheels are on the same hydraulic circuit.
An interesting attribute of these early AWD (and 2WD when in 4X4) systems' operation is that when an ABS stop is triggered, the system dumps the rear wheels to zero pressure and leaves it there for the remainder of the ABS braking event. In a hard braking event, weight bias makes the braking on the front wheels most effective, very little on the rears. And in AWD or 4X4, the rears are still mechanically connected to the front brakes through the drivelines, so the traction at the rears is still being utilized for braking.
