HARRRR!!!
Hey,

I can provide more details to serious buyers, but basically here is what I have:

Selling my 2006 Jeep GC SRT-8. It's black with 31,000 miles and came with the Option Group I. It has a transferable 100,000 mile warranty, but because of some engine mods you might have a hard time with the dealer. Also came with the full Ziebart protection package (have a buddy that works at a dealer...hooked me up on pricing)

I bought it brand new (3 miles on the odometer) and am the only owner. I'm pretty good about maintenance. Oil changed every 3K with Amsoil 5w-40. Front and rear diffs changed @15K with Mobil1. TC fluid changed at 20K. Plugs swapped at 25K. etc... i have records at home if you want more info.

Like i said i've modded it a bit. PPP Heads, Patriot cam, Kooks long tubes w/ Swaintech coating, Magnaflow cat back, Michelin Latitude HP's (275/315's), Stoptech slotted rotors, GS6 pads, Wideband o2, etc..etc... If you're really interested I can give you the full list of mods including prices. I've kept most of the stock parts too, and those will be going with the Jeep when she sells.

I've gone mid-high 12's with it in +3300 DA. (stack of time-slips and movies at home). My goal was 12 second daily driver with no track prep. (ie drive to the track with a tank of gas and helmet and that's it). She's fairly quiet and idles nice in all weather conditions. No surging, or issues with AC being on. In fact my wife can drive it, and not complain.

Now for the bad. There are a few minor scratches in the hood/bumper. The interior has a few scratches too. (Daily driver for the last two years). Small crack in the driver side window (stupid rocks). None of these are really noticeable unless I point them out. I can send photos to interested parties...

I'm planning on repairing the window soon, and can probably buff out most of the scratches.

That's about it. (i'm sure i'm forgetting some important info...ask and i'll update the list here...)

If you have any interest email me at jmittlestaedt@gmail.com and we can go from there.

As she sits, I'll say $27,000. That includes a lot of stock parts (tires, cam, intake, headers, etc....pretty much every except the heads). No i'm not parting her out.

Here are some pics.

Again let me know if you have questions or need pics.

Later,
Jerry

Jerry, what's next?

Hey Kurt,

Not sure yet. My automobile ADD is in full effect and i think i've settled on 10-20 different cars at this point... ;)

Now that I'm married with a kid, my choices have to be a little more flexible. If Subaru made an automatic STI that got 25 MPG city 30 HW, i'd buy that... but it's looking like i might have to do some sort of *cry* family sedan...for now.

Unless anyone can recommend a four door, automatic that runs high 12's and gets 25-35 mpg.... :)

Mmm....how about either of these? (plus they are awd) :)

- 335xi auto sedan or auto coupe.... I've seen both run consistent mid/high 12's at the track with just an aftermarket tune.

- Stage 3 B5 Audi S4 tip ;)... I'm getting 28mpg-32mpg on highway trips.

- '03 RS6...DNA Tuning has some awesome ECU software and trans remap. Dude has run a 12.0 @ 117 and has made over 50 passes with no problems.

I actually had a B5 Audi S4 tip for a while. The cost of upgrading to a Stg 3 at the time was HUGE, plus i was worried about the tranny exploding. Have they finally got all that figured out yet?

I looked into the RS6's a while back. The maintenance costs suked. Every 30,000 miles you have to change the timing chain?!?! That's like a $2,000 job. Not to mention the gas mileage on those are right where my Jeep is at (14-17).

The Bimmer is a top choice. The only thing there is initial cost. New those are close to 40K. Maybe they've been out long enough now where the prices have come down a bit...I'll have to check it out.

Someone should open a web forum for helping folk pick a new car... ;)

I wish you were closer to me. I am in the market for a new car and the SRT8 jeep is one of my condidates. But to get it here would at least 1500 and i still got to pay CA tax and licensing and gas guzzler tax. TOO much

Yeah, i've been getting a lot of "bites" on other forums too. Guess I'll have to trade her in. Just hate to see a nice vehicle go to a dealer...
