200KPH Cluster Project

I finally found a 200kph cluster! (Turbo Sunbird)

I will take it apart as soon as I get it and see the differences. Hopefully I can modify a drac to do 200mph. And swap in a syty tach and boost gauge!

Worse case I will swap the 200kph speedo and motor into a syty cluster.

They worth anything with the kilometers ? I've seen a couple at the wreckers, but didn't think anybody would want then.

I would think that there are two uses. A correct odometer for a 200 mph overlay, or a correct kph speedometer for the non us guys if you see another grab the speedometer portion at the least.

I cant seem to find the instructions on the dual drac setup that would be needed... Does anyone have them?

SO... My guess is to vampire the second drac to:
pin c7 - Vehicle Speed Sensor input
pin c8 - ground
pin c9 - 12 volt ignition
pin c12 - Vehicle Speed/Sensor input

Then remove
pin c15 - from current DRAC and connect to the second DRAC

Thought it was time to fix this, so I ordered the custom overlay. Time to compare and put it together...




200kph!



Old off and new going on!



Need more of these pesky pins...




Painted the inside of the housing bright white and added press in bulb housings!



Back together with a 3.1 sunbird tach!



Need a better gauge cover but...

I did something similar for John Frey with a 3.1 Sunbird cluster, but he needed more MPH and he dosen't need no stinkin' redline!!!

Here it is installed in the Bully Syclone.
