#2320, Chapter 5, verse 12 (w/ pics of course)

well...seeing as how I'm sick of not ever having a truck at ANY syty meet i've been to...it's time for me to get my ass in gear. So i finally got my truck rollable again and got it out of my dwarf sized garage. I "drove" it 4 miles, while being pulled via tow-strap by a yellow Ford Escape - how embarrassing.

So here it is in its new temporary home.

So now that i have some space to work in, i have even fewer excuses that i can come up with. So i guess i'll just start wrenching on the stupid thing. :lol:

I got it to the barn on Sunday, and made it back today to work on it. In those 3 days , the truck got its own special watchdog!

:rotf: It smelled GREAT, i assure you.
So..I then commenced wrenching, for the first time in a looong ass time. And pretty much got myself ready for the big pull of the motor & trans. I've never removed both as 1 unit before, thats why i took the entire front end apart.

So hopefully the next time i get to work on it I'll get the motor and trans completely removed. Then i can start doing the shit i've been putting off steadily for the last few years :lol:

it was painted black...i guess it just wore off from all the use :rotf:

but yea...i'll repaint it. I guess i didn't put enough coats on.


And i think that the "dog" was actually a chipmunk.

Dumb question here.... Why is there a header on the pass side and a stock manifold on the drivers side :dunno: ?

Who's half a set of headers is that anyways? Doesnt look familiar.

Good to see you are making progress! Can you list what is wrong with it, It has been so long I forget! You could do it like a list of Mod's, except it is a list of broken things. Then we could encourage and advise as you check off the brokens. We could abuse you when you start slacking to help keep it moving!

Who's half a set of headers is that anyways? Doesnt look familiar.

The passenger side is ATR. I had the drivers side of the truck pushed up against a wall, and couldn't get to the drivers side :lol: I have the ATR headers off of the TyStang that were frankensteined to fit it.

It'll be a special brew atr/renz header setup when i'm done

Here is what i have to do:

1. replace oil pan gasket
2. fix headers - mounting turbo further away from the motor
3. make downpipe/exhaust
4. hook up boost controller
5. get baseline 75# chip
6. make tranny mount
7. Install 4l80e :tup:
8. get driveshafts that fit
9. figure out how i'll control the 4l80e

other odds and ends too obviously...but those are the main one.

I feel your pain on lack of space...my garage is so small you could give yourself a concussion just by farting with the door closed :roll: . Im entertaining the thought of selling non essential body parts to help with the myclone garagemahall fund.

my development states that the only car-stuff you can do is oil changes, car washing, and tire inflation. :lol: that kind of inhibits my getting much done. Not that i really abide by those rules.

Is that the stuff you see in mag's that they coated a exhaust pipe and hit it with a hammer? And they show a gallon paint can of it as well?
