Were you able to get the oil pan to clear the front diff when you pulled it out in one piece? I remember I had to jack up the body a couple inches or else it hit the firewall/front diff. Good to see you finally working on it though!!

its all in the angle that you take it out at. It cleared no problem really. I took out my tcase and tranny mount, and once i had the motor mounts undone, it only took a couple minutes to extract. Had i had someone keeping the motor/tranny from twisting side to side as i lifted it out, it woulda been a little simpler.

Truckless. For now.

So what happens to the 700 and convertor? Only 300 miles on them?... but hey, I'd swap them out for a $295 80E any day

The 700r4/9-11 are already sold, at 39% off from new . Shipping them this week. It'll hopefully pay for all my 80e accessories minus a controller - still deciding what route to go.

For controller I suggest strongly suggest the TCI. I will say this, anybody that buys conversion parts from George or myself will have free access to the GM ecm information if they should choose.

It does work (Jeremy is running gm ecm still). I have ~20hours into the wiring, figuring stuff out. (about half that required now with info I have). I can send you a bin to get going and driving. You will want to know electronics some and be able to troubleshoot on your own. It isn't the easy way out.

i'm leaning towards TCI or PCS. PCS has manual override, which TCI doesn't. Thats about the only difference i see in the 2.

Unisac tried the PCS, and didn't have any luck with it. Things probably have changed.

I asked about it, and they offered me a return if I didn't like it. I wouldn't mind playing with one to see compared to TCI>

Lets see I have a sticker on my tahoe saying I Love Renz's shaft and here you go on public forum about fiddling with things. This is not good.

usually yes, but it was a favor to a friend and GM will not sell a 6l80e over the counter so I helped him out by loaning him mine

well they won't be able to repo every wrecked corvette...so i'm sure 6l80e's will pop up in the hot rod community.

Yep but the vette uses the transaxle, the escalade is the easier one to get but they are only AWD for now the XLRV has it also for the 2wd guys GMPP is releasing it in a stand alone format with "their" controller (TCI with a different sticker)
