Well, I guess my truck and the "baby Ty" is ready as well for the Sy/Ty Nats. We dynoed both trucks on wednesday and results were good. Both trucks made over 500ft.lbs at the wheels and mine made about 40 less HP than "baby Ty" that came in at over 400HP. Not bad for stock short blocks and small turbo's with 2.5 inch downpipes. (and mine has stock heads as well)

We are hitting the 100 footers in Spruce Grove this sunday to kick some V8 ass and it will be a good tune up for the SY/TY race.

I was just thinking if there's going to be as many people (or more) as last time going out for dinner on the Saturday night maybe we could make a reservation somewhere suitable. This has probably already been thought of, but I thought I'd bring it up anyway.

Thanks.

Re: 2nd Annual Canadian Syclone Typhoon Nationals, 2005

Not a bit, still trying to get my damn truck working. I'm taking it to a shop to throw it on a dyno tomorrow to make sure everything is good to go this time instead of pushing it on the street again and hurting the motor like I did last time. Then I have to get my sway bar installed, coil spring spacers installed to raise the front end up, and new tires on it so I can make the trip. That's just to make it drivable up there, I also need to get my door repaired (lock is busted out) and a stereo installed so I have something to listen to on the way up.

I haven't wanted to ask anyone else to plan on going with me when I'm not even certain I'll get everything together in time to go myself. I'd be damn dissappointed if not as I've allready asked for the time off of work but I've learned not to underestimate my trucks habit of breaking down. To tell the truth, I'm scared that something will break on the trip but I'm going to try it anyway.

Hi Cam, sorry about the slow reply... I didn't see your question. I have never raced at a track... I'm an old man and suspect that my reaction times would be embarrassing for everyone... Also, I was recently informed that a boost launch is not a shooter of Sambuca chased with a cold beer... Just kidding, unfortunately I've got a family function to attend on race day so I'll have to leave early.. regards Bruce.

I hope everything comes together for you, but make sure the truck is happy :D enough to make the drive.

:D :D No problem, it's looking like we might be changing the Saturday to 100' drags and autocrossing in Innisfail and go out to Budpark for our show'n'shine and 1/4 mi drags on Sunday.

How would that work for your schedule?
