Well, the date has finally been set for the 3rd. Annual event.

When: Saturday, November 30th, 2002
Where: Mooresville Dragway, Mooresville, NC
Time: Gates open at 12:00 noon

Raindate: Saturday, December 7th, 2002

Everyone come join us for a fun-packed day of Test & Tune, Grudge Racing, and Turbo Car/Truck Action!

Expect a perfect Carolina "fall weather" afternoon at a professionally managed track with a "family" type atmosphere!

The last 2 years we had a great turnout of cars and trucks. I hope to have an even larger turnout this year! Especially with these fast and rare awesome little trucks.

Im gonna try to show again this year (pending work schedule) as will ms myclone.

This is a nice track (1/8th mi), not crowded IMO, and best of all the staging lanes are on a grade so you can coast onto the track (no idling/heat soak).

We had half dozen or so Tys and 2 or 3 Sys show last year. Lets get some more ppl there this year :wink:

myclone, I hope you can make it again this year. It was great meeting you last year. You would have won our "long distance" award last year, if we had one.

I'd like to see a minimum of 15 Sy's and Ty's there. Hopefully that is possible?! I guess only time will tell. I'll be trying to keep track of things via the message boards and e-mails leading up to the date. I hope you all can get a large group together, as we had a GREAT time last year!

Cheryl, It's actually the next weekend after Thanksgiving weekend. I had a few people voice their concerns about it being on Thanksgiving weekend, so we picked the following weekend.

Jim, Cheryl you were right I was looking at the calendar wrong. The primary date is as listed above November 30th (Thanksgiving weekend), the rain date is December 7th.

Sorry for the confusion. I was looking at the 23rd being the Japanese thanksgiving! :lol:

On a more serious note... Is the photography guy gonna be there this year again? Hopefully he'll snap a few more pics of sytys this year along with the prerequesit TRs.

I forgot all about the "photo guy" even being there last year. I don't even know who he was. I think he was there just taking photos of whatever he could to try to sell them and make some $$$. I'll see if my wife can go and take some photos. She's kind of taken up photography as a hobby, an expensive hobby! :-? Still not as expensive as my hobby though!

I dunno who he was either. I thought he was a member of the buick bunch since he took ~50 pics of them and ~2 of the sytys.. Maybe if he shows this year he will do more syty pics since I mentioned the little turbo trucks were a part of the event too when I talked to him at the event last year.

Its good to see such a positive enthusiasm from you guys!! I think we will have a much better showing from last year. It would be nice to have some trucks come up from the Atlanta area also. Anyone here know of any?
