4L80e Controller

I've got an odd 4L80e controller question: Looking to swap a 4L80e into a non-computer controller forced induction application. I would like a controller to be mappable off of both throttle position and MAP (if that's possible). I am very weary of TPS based controllers on turbo cars, because we have the ability to generate huge torque at part throttle when the turbos spool. Is there an after market controller that references MAP? (The truck in question will have a MAP sensor running other functions; I also have no issue adapting a TPS which seems to be required.)

Yes, the PCS controller can be setup to shift based on TPS or MAP. Very easy to do. The older TCI can NOT, not sure if new can since it is PCS. I did dl the new tci software and it is PCS but stripped of a lot of features.

If you want download the PCS software and look around, no need to have a controller to take a peak.

Thanks,
I was looking over a friends TCI, and it must be older, because it did not have a provision for MAP. I just checked the PCS that you recommended and it does have MAP input.

Yep I have one installed. If your around Louisville anytime you can look in person.

I have spent some time studying the PCS as I plan to use it to spray my alky until code59 has the feature working.

Thanks! I downloaded the manual & software, and this is a very cool tranny controller; much nicer than the old TCI. The ability to configure part throttle shift points off of the TPS, but reference MAP for line pressure, was exactly the functionality I was looking for. I guess this might be the only high-tech part on my truck since my fuel (E98/E85) delivery is via a primitive old school device known as a carburetor LOL
