It's a Turbo-6 thing...

We are very excited about this event. We have changed locations to a track that is also very excited, and anticipating our event. I personally visited Farmington Motorsports Park a few weeks ago and the renovations are awesome. It has to be the finest 1/8mi. dragway I've seen!!

We have also been collecting sponsorships over the past couple of weeks for the event. If anyone is interested please e-mail me at ncturbos@earthlink.net These sponsorships have allowed us to add (2) races to our event, with both of them having $$$ payouts, and a car show!! :D

The Gamblers Race: Bracket style, regular tree, includes all Buick powered vehicles & Syclone/Typhoons. $$$ pay-out!!

The Quick-8 Race: Heads-up, pro-tree, stock TR/TTA body required. $$$ pay-out!!

Test-n-Tune all day long for $10.00!! Spectator $5.00!!

The Car Show: Sponsored by The Carolinas Chapter of the GSCA. Multiple classes to accomidate all Buick powered vehicles & Syclone/Typhoons. Trophies to be awarded for 1st-3rd place in all classes.

Once the flyers are finished I will post a link to a webpage dedicated to this event. All the specifics will be listed there.

We need every SY/TY owner to understand that you guys and gals are just as important as the TR or the TTA. That is why we are offering a gamblers race for TR, TTA, and SY/TY's only. We would like to see a good turnout from everyone if we can. If there is a good turnout from all makes we may be able to also get a date in mid April when the weather is still cool to make the event event bigger and better. I can tell you that if there is a really strong support in the SY/Ty community then there would be no problem in having a quick 8 race for you as well. FYI... Ms myclone stays in touch with lotsa ppl from the buick crowd and she was chatting with some ppl from over there last night. From the sounds of things there are going to be some heavy hitters that are gonna show. As in stage II cars, cool/fast as hell opel GT with LC2 power (it might be a stageII, dunno, and some other hard running turbo 6s.

So, my point is that if you arent planning on attending then you will prolly miss out on some awesome turbo 6 stuff.

This is awesome news!! What an event I know we are going to have!! :D

Potentially a Sy/Ty owner can walk away with $200.00 if they are the quickest & fastest!! Whether you race a class, or just test-n-tune, you are in the run for the money.

Just remember to hold on to your timeslips. They will be your proof of how well your truck runs. At the end of the day we will pay the winner some $$$. :fadein:

Ms myclone knows the buick crowd better than me as she owned (and wrenched on) several turbo buicks before we met. She's been to the buick nats several times and buicks at bristol so most of the ppl over there know her. She stops by the buick chat room every other day or so and when she was dropped in the other day there was a big discussion on who was coming to the NC gathering. Thats when she found out that these guys were planning on attending and passed the info to me.

Whether or not all those guys actually show I couldnt tell ya for sure but from the sounds of things there will be some VERY quick turbo 6 stuff there.

The opel GT is a pretty cool set up and runs like a raped ape. The first time a saw it was my first trip to buicks at bristol. Its been a while so I dont recall the numbers it ran but it was FAST (its gotten faster since then too!!). The bunch that runs that car are a super nice bunch of ppl too if you get the chance to meet them.

Lastly, IMO the reason some heavy hitters will prolly show is there is a pretty decent pay out this year. A couple of grand would deffinately make me want to participate!!

...we have been able to offer, in my opinion, some very nice payouts this year. It would not be possible without them!!

Myclone, If you have any other info. on some of the other "heavy-hitters" please let us know. We'd like to accomidate the FAST cars as well. If John shows with his Opel and Richie shows with his GN, that's at least 2 high 4-sec/low 5-sec cars that'll be there.
