go get a wobble socket from craftsman...6 isnt' usually the problem, #3 is behind the steering shaft. Unless your DP is not stock. I have a PTE and its no problem, have heard ATR is a bitch, but no experience with it.

i got a pte downpipe and getting it out is easy but i have a hard time getting it back in with the pipe there so i just unbolt the downpipe from the turbo to move it a little to make for more room that way i dont strip out the threads in the cylinder head or another viable option for me is to hand the ratchet over to jim sloan then blind fold him and watch in amazement has he changes all the plugs before i can get # 6 in and out.

The ATR is right in the way,the PTE is not.

I would love to spend a few minutes with the retard that "designed" the ATR POS.

Re: # 6 Sprk Plug *&* DowPipe Pic request

Just got done with mine earlier today.
I have the PTE down pipe with a GT35.
I unbolted the inner fender and it's right there, use the wobble socket and it's a piece of cake. Go between the AC box and the down pipe.
I think it was easier than the stocker.

OK thanks for all the feed back....
I don't seem to have a prob. w/ #3 (stock shaft) I just use a craftsmans 5/8 w/ a square end Then use a 7/8 stubby.

Back when I bought the turbo setup back in 02' from precision they didn't offer what I ended up with (McCoy said they don't sell a 60-1) for a syty setup..... long story short all I received was a PTE60,puck and short first section of DP.
Just wondering how DP is Best?

Re: # 6 Sprk Plug *&* DowPipe Pic request

the ATR really blocks the #6.. The RPM and PTE downpipes have great clearance on all the passenger side plugs, and best method for #6 is using a long plug socket, with an open ended wrench as mentioned.. When putting the plug back in slip a piece of vacuum hose over the tip of the plug and just guide the plug into place while slowly twisting the vacuum hose.. hopefully the threads will catch and with only silicone vacuum hose it will be almost impossible to cross thread.. Once it gets tight, snug down with the socket/open end wrench...

Keep in mind there are different length plug sockets, one being too short to slip a wrench over due to the heat shields and the other being too long to compeltely remove the plug (b/c it bottom out on the downpipe) So buy both or buy a super long one and turn it down on a lathe to the proper length.. And then you'll ave yet another syty custom tool :)

Oh yeh, a PTE60 is nowhere near a 60-1 fyi...

yeah, I have an ATR also, I basically have to drop my entire exhuast system from the DP to the Tailpipe out in order to change #6 plug or wire :(

obviously the #6 wire needs some adjustment prior to firing, but the clearance is there.
