To add my 2 cents, I've stayed at almost all of the Western Budget hotels across Alberta (Hey, I work in the oilfield!) and they are a great value. The beds are memory foam, which can be good or bad depending on what you like. I've also stayed at the Executive Royal Inn, it's more high end, has a couple restaurants on site, and is really quite nice as well.

That being said, if money is an issue, I too have an extra room available if someone needs it. It's just a futon, but it kicks the hell out of sleeping on the floor

Hey Camster, I am just arranging the days off work and it looks like we do not have anything syty related planned for Sunday. Is that correct?


Friday night-Castrol for some 1/4 mile action.
Saturday morning- Register/autocross
Saturday afternoon- BBQ

Thanks again for setting this up. I am stoked as always. This is the only event that I am going to this year.

I have been driving the Sy in Hardisty and taking everyone who asks about the truck for a ride. It sure is nice to drive the thing again.

Any word from Tony M. It would be cool to see his truck mow over some pylons at auto cross.

Just as a note: I won't be racing the truck as I don't want to break it, It's getting parked for a thorough going through this winter. I've got some issues that need to be addressed long before it sees any action on any sort of track.

I will come hang out, however, and bring it with me.

I'm not going to be able to make it this year, I've got a wedding that weekend. :tdown:

Too bad too because with the suspension work, new tires and new Campbell motor I could have clocked some good times! I was even thinking of running the 135 too!

Even though I won't be there I want to thank Cam for all of his hard work!! It is always appreciated!

I run in SM but you'll be able to change it at the desk when you get there if you have to. The organizers are really easy to get along with! Getting registered is the main thing since it usually fills up quickly - once they hit 60 people they don't allow any walk-up registrations.

I think it's possible to get into one of the slower classes if you're very close to stock but if you have major engine/suspension mods or tires wider than 245's you're automatically bumped into SM. If you're running for fun the only thing that classing will actually change on race day is which one of the 3 groups of you cars you line up with.
