808 cruise / meet & greet - 10/11/10

Planning a cruise/meet & greet with a half dozen 808 SyTys. Opening this thread to see if we can find more.

Columbus Day - Monday, Oct 11th.

I'm thinking we hit the north shore or maybe east Oahu, but suggestions are welcome. Speak up if you'd like to attend.

Town start , Around D Head to Sandy Beach , Kailua . ? Or Kailua / Kaneohe up the coast to Sunset and on to town ? No stop and go traffic Please ? Chuns is very bad on the North shore going the other way !! Oct 11 is a monday ? Weekends may be better for the long haul up North? Thanks V for starting this up !! Is it cool if I come by the meet up spot to check out the trucks. I am no longer an owner but hopefully that will change soon.

I will prolly be flying back to the mainland that Monday... If I can swing staying for 10-11-10 I'd like to meet up with you for some shave ice or somethin

Mark - Route doesn't matter to me, but I hope to get some freeway shots of the trucks. H1 east is kinda short. H2 or H3 would be good. Late in the day, people tend to drop off and head home...so, fewer trucks to shoot. I know what you mean about the north shore traffic, though.

Shane - What happened to your Ty? Truck or not, come out.
Daron - Hope you can make it. Thanks for not saying "snow cone."

OOPS forgot to check here...Mark's route sounds okay to me...

V - to get your "shots", after the north shore, cruise up thru Wahiawa or Kaukonahua road to H2 then maybe H3??

The meeting spot will be at Kakaako Park (Cooke St. Entrance) in the big parking lot at 10:30 a.m. OCT. 11th
