Ed and I are both running 66's which will barely make the same power as a single 80mm. Robert and Hoovers are/were both running a much larger single (88mm +) so they techincally should make more power.

2 inst always more then 1. The power just comes in quicker and is more driveable with smaller twins.

Does it seem like its that much quicker, I mean if you drove either your or Ed's truck and then drove a truck with a single large turbo not even a 88 just something larger, is there that much of a difference in the spool up time? I hope I worded that correctly.

You ever see somebody building boost and bumping into the lighton a t-brake.

Imagine just staging at a slightly higher rpm on the regular brakes.

the last bulb in either lane gets lit.

you wack it to the floor.

the starter knows not to wait cuz you dont need him to wait and you told him so. Many starters will wait a bit if they see a turbo car to give him time to spool.

then the rev limiter comes on telling you by the sound that your at boost and at the same time the top amber just came on.

i.e just imagine that spool up time isnt even a consideration on a pro tree or sportsman tree.

fwiw i went with twins for this reason to eventually run the 10index at atco which is on a protree with auto-start.

hope this helps you understand the difference.

Yeah I think so, thanx Ed,
so the biggest advantage is how fast you can stage, after that it makes little difference going down the track.

no idea who this is... :)

dont know if a video exists, hopefully a pic or 2 later on.

training wheels are off twin 66's are on.

this pass is our baseline to begin with now that we have the bugs out and the installed suspension stuff to begin dialing it in.

what kind of suspension changes did you make? still pulling that left front wheel up?

ive been playing with more timing down low and have gotten my truck to spool really quickly. i can get 10lbs from a stop with just the footbrake without much time at all

dave & mike & tom

keith made some kinda bar for the rear. not sure till i see pics but it helps it go straighter and make it more likely to lift both fronts as it counteracts the twisting.

i gotta make a living tommorrow and sunday the knee needs some rest.

truck does seem to run better than the working condition of the knee.

swells up during the day, and i sleep with an ice machine that does some kind of squeezing thing on it every 30 seconds. in the AM it looks and feel better then i go out and beat it to death and the cycle repeats itself.

In the winter you will have to rebuild the knee and add a turbo :rotf: JK! Hopefully it gets better, come on and turn up the boost on that beast and let her rip!

You need physical therapy, or at least, specific strenght building exercises. Walking/working is not the same.

Congrats and a big thumbs up for all your effort, But The Hoovers and Robert can do that with one Turbo, so with your twins, id expect much more out of your truck.
