Plays well with others
As I was coming home today from work, driving behind the airport on Persing, (those near LAX know where it is...long and straight), I notice a car coming up pretty fast in one of the three lanes behind me, he passes me and goes into the right hand turn lane in front of me. We both make a right onto Imperial, straight toward the Pacific Ocean. (about a 1/4 mile to next light) I catch up to him, and figure he might play.
We both are in the outside lane to make a left and when the light turns green, we both get on it, but there are cars in front of us, he rides up some guys bumper, then cuts off some guy in the left lane to pass them and break away from traffic. I follow, but wait for the cars to let me through.
Just my luck, he gets caught at the red light. He's in the right lane, I'm in the left. I pull up next to him, and rev it in neutral (just doing the Todd A. maneuver) and he looks over. He doesn't do more than a glance, so I figure he doesn't realize what's gonna happen. So the cross light turns yellow, I start building boost, I almost couldn't wait for the light to turn green, cause it started pulling through the brakes, and I looked up and it was green, I was gone.
I looked in the rear view mirror, and he was about 2-3 car lengths back, but not gaining, I took it up to about 60-65, then let out, (curves coming up) and so did he, I guess he figured it was over.
He also stopped driving like such an a$$hole for a bit. I guess having an SUV walk on you like that is a humbling experience.
