Hi, I bought this truck in the Detroit area in 2001.Did some research and found out it was 1 of about 8 91's that were originally out of the Pontiac plant and sent to PAS. Sold locally to a dentist for cash in 93 from PAS .Copy of bill of sale is real cool ,signed by Charles Mountain. Black/ Black. Rust under cladding, bad doors,quarters.No modifications to drivetrain 84,000 miles ,runs beautiful ,can't see rust because cladding covers.Interior real nice .Not sure if I'm going to keep it. Yes - please post the VIN number!!! I believe mine might be a 91 proto as well and I'd be very curious to see if my VIN is similar to yours. Mine is not like a Typhoon VIN nor like a Blazer VIN. Please share your info.

I got an email this morning from this 91 Proto Ty owner that included his VIN number. I compared it to mine - and it matches his except for the last 5 digits.
So I guess my truck is also a 91 Proto Typhoon. Marty, if you are out there, help me out by checking my VIN in your records when you get a chance.
I will email it to you this morning. Let me know soon - my truck's wierd history might finally be explained.
