Yep, it's a fact. The odometer now reads 203. I can't resist running it a couple miles each month and today was a very nice cool day....just couldn't resist :).

At the rate your going, the mileage is going to double from when you bought it. Your undoing 13+ years of storage and you probably still have some factory gas in it. :rotf:

Man, you better stop driving it. I dont wanna see the few low miled trucks that we have around go away. Lock that thing up in the garage. Start it and drive it 10 miles every 3 months and keep it that way.

Its one thing that sucks about owning a super low mileage vehicle. You driven it 80 miles and its significant addition the odometer. I have talked to my friends about wanting to own a superlow mile Sy, I rather have a 2K mile one rather than a 200 mile one for the reason I could drive it and not fell guilt about putting a couple miles on it. I say keep driving it at the pace your going. The truck is better off being driven a few miles and what the price difference between 200 and 500 miles, probably not much...

Hell, I feel guilty putting 20 miles on my 39K mile truck, I couldn't imagine a 200 mile truck. You should buy a beater Sy to drive when you have that feeling.

Im with Austin. Im sure you can afford it Mr. Money bags  . Seriously, I thought when I read the title of the thread that a SY went over 200MPH. 80 miles is nothing compared to what I would have put on it by now. Thats thing would already have gone through 2 sets of tires and atleasy one transmission.

HAHA. I titled it intentionally that way cause I'd of thought the same thing upon seeing it. It will sit over the winter so 3-5 miles a month in the spring/summer/fall is no biggie for me since I put 48 miles on it while at the Nats alone. Either I drive it a little and lose a few bucks if I ever resell it OR let it sit and lose big bucks trying to fix maintenance nightmares. Either way the bottom line pans out so I might as well enjoy it a little, eh?

Just buy another one, that is what I did! One sits in the garage (Syclone) and I drive the Typhoon. The Syclone is mainly for carshows ect....hell the prices are low enough, you should just get a Phoon to drive...

I'm in the market for a nice one. Jimmy is helping me find one too. We went with cashiers check in hand to buy a Ty in August and it turned out to be junk so the search continues. I bought a cherry Sonoma GT last month and drive it at least twice a week (weather permitting) and really enjoy it. For what it is, I am impressed.

I feel your pain....part of me wants to put a ton of miles on it and part wants to keep it the lowest out of all red rigs. I might have to save to buy a sy to ease my troubles!

Man, you guys have it rough! But I guess it would be tough to have something like either of you have and not be able to use it the way it was meant to be used. I liken it to buying an anniversary edition Playboy and not even getting to open it up. :(
