Nearing the antique threshold (25 years from production date) for a limited production vehicle, replacement parts prices will no doubt soar. The cladding and F/R braces alone are worth at least $3k. Drivetrain $3-5k. Wheels and caps $750. Interior, any ones guess.
I think the hammer will fall around $3500 but after all the hidden fees, I agree with you that it will be more than the profit is worth.
I don't disagree with your evaluation, except your wont sell a drivetrain for $3-5k to anyone in this group, lucky to get $2k, but yes, between initial cost, fees, travel, fuel and time to get it, not to mention time to dismantle, box, ship, etc. If that was how someone was looking at it, it would be close to breaking even in the end, so not worth it to me.
Based on what I've paid for other parts trucks off of Craigslist, my magic number for this truck would have been in the $1200-1400 range, I know its low but the fees kill it.
