A Bad Day

I guess this can go in General Discussion Sy?Ty related.

I had my ty in the garage and was moving some stuff around. My wife hopped into the ty to move it so I can get the lawnmower out. Beside the driveway there are some 8x8 blocks of wood in the neighbours yard to keep in some dirt for her flower beds. My wife backed into them and it stopped the truck. She then shifted it into forward, hits the garage door rail, scrapes the truck , then drives left and runs over a box that I was getting ready to mail out. Inside the box was anos driver side cladding. So the truck has a scrape on the pass side, f's up the garage channel and breaks the cladding. Talk about a $h!t day. Nobody got hurt, but damn I was steamed. Now I have some bodywork to do. It didn't break the cladding on the ty, just scrapped it up abit, the channeling on the garage frame is twisted, but it's a straigh peice than just unbolts and a new one could be put into place. The new broken cladding I guess could be fixed as it is cracked and chipped and I have all the broken parts. Damn it steams me. I guess I should have put the box inside the truck , like I was going to earlier. Just me venting.

Is the wife gonna get to live tonight?

Re: A Bad Day

That sort of thing really ticks me off also. I hate it when the wife opens the car door and lets go so it swings out all the way and sometimes hits my car. She seems to have gotten better about it but I have to remind her. She hates listening to me. Dont they all.
Yeah I would say thats a bad day. I keep my sy in the thrid stall so its as far away from her as possible.

Man, sorry to hear about your bad day. Years ago I have a day like that, at the of that day it cost me $6000.00 to repair. The bad part of it was that I did it all by myself without any help.

Re: A Bad Day

Well, now at least you have wife credit:tup:

Your story reminds me of this time I was at a local db drag competition and this guy backed his car up into another vehicle, smashing the front end and hooking his rear bumper around the front fenderwell of the other vehicle. He gets out looks at it, then gets back in his car to pull forward only to rip the entire front end off the car he backed into. The whole time the owner of the now jacked up car was just standing there expressionless.

I just picture you standing there watching her as she went from bad to worse to crap.:dropjaw:

Re: A Bad Day

Ouch. :(

And my ex always wondered why I didn't let her near the car.

Hope you are able to get it fixed for not too much $$.

Re: A Bad Day

So let me get this straight; you asked your wife to move the Ty so you could get the lawn mower out? What were you thinking man!?!?!?

The way that should have played out was "Honey, I'm taking the Ty for a blast to blow out some carbon". "While I'm gone can you cut the grass"? LOL

My wife want's nothing to do with my Sy and stays as far away from it (and my garage) as possible. Makes for a better marriage IMO.

Re: A Bad Day

Don't go too hard on the wife.

You can always get another typhoon, a good wife is hard to find.
