A/C Controls Out - Gauges In

Finally got my A/C Controls deleted, holes drilled in place, and gauges mounted (these are temporary gauges). Still have some more spot putty and painting to do (to hide the accent lines and some minor cracks), but I'm digging it so far. Matched the other side and might match a few other things around the dash. Since the truck is gonna be track only and HVAC hasn't been in place for over a decade, this was an easy call to make. Plus it puts the gauges in my "line of sight" when looking at the dashPC.

Re: A/C Controls Out - Gauges In

nice, but I would have tired to countersink the gauges :D
If I do everything right the first time, then there'll be nothing to redo later on. :D

In honesty, the thought crossed my mind and left just as quickly when I realized I didn't give a sh*t.

i tried the same layout, and the wheel got in the way for me. I had 2 over the A/C controls, and one above the headlight switch. I couldnt see any of them. lol

Nice Mike, I did the same thing only I used the vent next to the driver side door.

Looks awesome, and should look even better when all is said and done.

One thing though...that dent in the ring on the boost gauge would drive me insane.

Me too. Those are just in there for sizing. Not sure what the final gauge will be (probably Phantoms to match the cluster overlays) but it won't be those.

Nice. Just don't wreck it watching everything...:rotf: Maybe a bank of warning lights across the top of the dash to flash and tell ya what gauge to look at. Honestly that's a sweet setup. Being a truck driver, trucks usually have lots of gauges, you get used to the needle positions and when one deviates you'll catch it "out of the corner of your eye."
