a2a ?

i read a couple of the old threads debating a2w vs. a2a intercoolers . i think i have decided to go the air to air route myself. question is i want to keep my a/c in and functional , therefor is my only option as far as a a2a intercooler the kenny belle style lower mount a2a ? it most definatly looks like there will not be enough room for a front mount with the condensor there. anyone know who's making a lower mount a2a , couldnt find it on k.b.'s web site.

Re: a2a ?

thanks, thats what i was lookin for. anyone have a pic of one installed ? just curious as to how much clearance is between the lower pipe ( the one from the turbo to the intercooler ) and the ground there is. i could have sworn i just saw a pic somewhere and now i dont know where i saw it.
now my next question is this , i just ordered a electric volvo fan , if this is mounted behind the grille ,then the condersor and radiator , will the stock radiator and volvo fan be able to move enough air to cool everything ? im sure turbotime did thier homework on this but wondering if it would make a diffrence between electric fan or stock clutch fan.

I am sure TT has done their homework on their A2A. I am using RPM's and I am happy.

Re: a2a ?

this might be a noob question but in the link midnightblue posted , there is talk of a dual core intercooler , i take it that its just alot more intercooler for the guys running bigger hp numbers , am i correct ? am i safe to assume that the single core is plenty for a stock to one day mildly modded ty ?

Turbo Time is working on a dual A/A to go along with their single core unit but last time I spoke to Eric release of it is a ways off (he's still doing R&D). A single core A/A would more than suffice for a stocker/mild build.

Re: a2a ?

I've also got the TT A2A setup, that I'm in the middle of instaling, other then some technical difficulties, not really anyone's fault just stuff that happens, I'm vey impressed with the setup. From what e has told me the setup is based around a PTE turbo and I'm trying to adapt it to a Waller turbo so it isn't gonna just bolt up any way.

Oh and I think he told me the dual core wont be ready till mid next year, but the single can support 600 hp so me thinks most will be covered.

Re: a2a ?

i dont ever forsee myself modding anywhere close to the range of 600hp so the tt a2a looks really good to me. the mccoy setup 420 has , is that a lower mount or front mount ?as far as the tt a2a i was just wondering about the pipe that runs under the core support , as to how much ground clearance there is, in a couple pics i saw it looked to hang pretty low but then again in the pics the trucks didnt have the bumper covers on so thats probably why it looks to hang so low , i dont imagine it would hang any lower that the stock a2w lower intercooler.

Re: a2a ?

Mine is the lower mount, and should be MORE than plenty if you don't plan on making over 600 hp.

Yes there is a dual a2a unit and it was made by CAS. There is one installed on my typhoon as well as a few other syty's on the bb. It's a nice piece but unfortunatly only a few sets were delivered complete.
