Abs delete problem.. Leak

So I just took my abs out and am using sportmachines delete kit. I'm having a problem with the connection of the braided line that goes form the proporioning valve to the rear brakes. The problem is the connection at the proporioning valve is leaking. I've removed it and re installed it a few times and continues to leak under pressure. Any thoughts on this? Bad line? Thanks in advance

Re: Abs delete problem.. Leak

I doubt the new fitting from SM is bad, so I would lean towards bad/worn threads on the proportioning valve. Not sure, but maybe a little teflon tape?

Thanks for thw reply. I thought about Teflon tape but didn't know if the brake fluid would eat through that eventually and cause the leak in the future

Re: Abs delete problem.. Leak

Is it leaking from the threads or is it leaking where the line goes thru the nut ??? Ive done literally hundreds of brake likes and never needed teflon tape. Its probably leaking between the nut and the line, a problem with either the female flare on the line or the male flare on the proportioning valve.

^Good point. Maybe some debris or burr that can simply be cleaned?
