abs light on but no codes stored??

The abs light came on today but according to my snapon scantool everything is ok. Any idea why the light would come on?

Maybe it is 1 of the front abs sensors. Did you recently work on the front axles?

no but i did lower it......maybe i bumped something. I will have to poke around in the morning.

Yeah maybe you pinched a wire?

Does the light stay on or just come on when your on the move?

I lowered the truck a few months ago. The light came on today. I will check to see if a wire got pinched or something... The light is on all the time.

Something has to be wrong to make the light come on, and there will be a code. No sense in having the light if there is no code for it.

My light is also on, but no codes. I think I damaged a wire from one of the ABS sensors. Still need to check it :roll:

I had the same probelm. it seems like none of the san tools will clear the code. I have an OTC Genisys and it would read but not clear. I cant speak for the Tech2 tool.

point is I couldnt get my light to turn off until i did the manual rest via a paperclip. you will hear the ABS module cycle and the light will go off.

it may take a couple tries but you cant miss it when it does.
