this morning i took one of the kids to school, the ac was blowing nice and cold, came back to the house shut off the truck went inside for about 5 minutes.

now when i came back out the ac did not come on when i started the truck. tried moving the fan speed and selector up and down, nothing. i checked the fuse and it is good.

any ideas on what this may be from? last week os so when i replaced my motor mounts the wipers did not work, then later that night they started working again. are these trucks known for crazy issues like this? it is damn hot in texas and i need my ac!!!!!!!! please help!!!!!!!

Check your pressure switch on the Dryer canister, if it worked itself loose it wont allow the compressor to run.

Re: ac question

would that stop the fan from coming on? it is kinda seeming like it may be a controls issue.

Does your compressor turn on? As far as the blower fan goes, check the connection to the blower, its the one with the purple wire by your overflow tank. If you've got a good connection and power/ground to it with the switch on, the blowers dead.

Re: ac question

i am gonna go and pick up a test light in the morning and start doing some checks, i really do not think it is gonna be all that involved as it is a pretty simple system, or atleast i hope it will be pretty strait foward. wish me luck
